Thank you EA and Origin

I don't know if the right folks will see this, but I do hope so. A lot of people, myself included, sometimes get upset about the level of support we get from software companies. We often forget, however, to give kudos when they are due.

Earlier today, I had a friend contact me about the possibility of picking up Sims 3 Seasons for his girlfriend while it was on sale on Origin. He went through the process of purchasing it, intending to get the code from his email and give it to his girlfriend for her to apply. Before it even asked if he wanted to download the expansion, it applied it to his account. I felt absolutely horrible as I had sort of recommended the idea and now he was out the money, with nothing really to show for it since he doesn't even own the Sims 3 base game on his account.

I helped him track down how to contact support through the "Live Chat" and "Call Me" options, figuring it was worth a shot at least. The first person he spoke with talked with him a little about the situation, but was unable to help, but at least made him comfortable that the situation could be resolved. He had to wait on hold for a little while to speak to a "specialist". As soon as he did, the issue was quickly resolved and he was a happy customer. So was I since, as I said, I had recommended it in the first place.

The last thing he said to me via IM was... and I quote directly (typos included)....

"Ok thats why I am a EA customer... Best tech support I've ever delt with"

So thank you EA and Origin, and happy holidays.

"UR" is NOT a word, it's the sound stupid people make when they try to spell "You are".
