I found this song by searching youtube and I found out that it was really catchy (my cousin really likes this song too, LOL) That's why I recommend it! I also think you should check the acoustic version of it!
I would suggest 'Anything For You' by Ludo. It's a sweet song about a compulsive liar who's fallen in love. "I've gotten drunk and shot the breeze with kings of far-off lands -- they showed me wealth as far as I could see! But their kingdoms seemed all shrivelly and they cried with jealousy when I leaned in and told them about you." I plan to sing it to my kids as a lullaby someday. I don't have or know how to use Spotify, but here's a link to a Youtube video with lyrics. I hope you like it -- Ludo is my favorite band, and this song has a very fond place in my heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvHeYawq0N8
Heck, I'd honestly suggest anything by Ludo. They don't actually seem to have a specific style, so don't think they're a folk band based on this song. They've done jazz, Irish rock, synth, dark wave, pop, folk, classic metal, ballads, and even an entire rock opera called 'Broken Bride'. They do love songs, breakup songs, story songs, silly songs -- they do everything! They're my one-stop emotional experience. Though would warn you not to listen to Broken Bride unless you have half an hour to spare and a box of tissues. It's a sad, sweet, beautiful story about a time traveller who tries to save his wife from dying in a car crash that will stay with you for the rest of your life. This band has a gift with words and melody that is unmatched by any other artist or band I've ever heard. I'd compare them to Queen in terms of their perfect selection of what words to use and what notes to set them to, except that the lead singer, Andrew Volpe, doesn't have a perfect voice. He doesn't suck by any means -- he simply isn't flawless. I hate to sound like a mindless fangirl, but you really have to give them a look. They're amazing.
ok... any country you say? Does it have to be English speaking?? My kids are learning Korean, so my home is full of Korean music (kpop mostly) and Korean tv shows (they're watching one right now lol)I have kind of (ok... REALLY) gotten into the music. I make the kids research lyrics to the songs so even though I don't undertnad the language I do know what we are listening to
Here is a short list of some of our favorites:
Mirotic by DBSK (this is my personal favorite, it's just so catchy... and honeslty I LOVE the dancing )
Breathe by MissA Another very catchy song, this is a favorite of my 4yo daughter and the 2 younger boys
2NE1 I am The Best Another one of our family favorites, I get this song stuck in my head all day long when I hear it!
Sherlock by Shinee Ok, this band is just awesome! Their dancing, singing, umm cuteness
There are many many more, if you like this kind of music, which I do (in addition to everything else out there). Really, I listen to just about everything from Bone Thugs to Randy Travis to classical. We love music in our house! Just thought I would throw out something a little different
BroadwayyEm: I'm so glad you've recommended some musical songs (although I should have guessed you would from your username)! I haven't been to see a musical for years but You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray (I think?) is one of the best workout songs there is, so I bet there's plenty of others like it
Evilzlegend: Cheers for the links, I'll have a good look at them later but I had a quick click on Dubstep Violin and it is great - something different just what I was after
40675672: You can't go wrong with Girld Aloud
TheFairyBug: I'm really looking forward to listening to Ludo, from your description they sound similar to my favourite band of all time, The Two Gallants - if I'm right and they are similar you might want to try them out, if you haven't already. Start with Las Cruces Jail, and if you like odd, overwrought ballads try their song Crow Jane too - there should be plenty of their stuff on Youtube.
corettabarajas: Different is definitely what I'm looking for, can't wait to listen to your suggestions! I don't mind other languages at all, I'm starting to listen to some Scandinavian music and I'm really not bothered that I've got no idea what they're talking about. :P
Cheers everyone, sorry for typing so much in this thread I'm just really enjoying all the suggestions

Well, if you are open to all types of music I would recommend a song called "Blood" by the band In This Moment. The female lead is amazing and it will def. get you pumped up while running!! The chorus has a great beat for when you are in your main stride. Hope this helps! And I suppose I shall enter your drawing as well.
Thanks for all of the overnight entries! I can see some songs I know but have never thought to use, and others I haven't heard before which is brilliant

I love her voice. Her songs are just so touching. I love sad songs
My FAVORITE song at the moment is El Amor, El Amor (don´t know the band ;P ) It´s my favorite zumba song and I think it gives myself a special want to do sports!!!
Well since we are getting to the holiday season one of my all time favorite song is Christmas. Trans-Siverian Orchestra, Album is The Lost Christmas Eve, Song: Christmas Dreams.
I love the beat of the song and the words message is so beautiful. I really like pretty much everything that Trans-Siberian has put out but this is my favorite. In fact when I saw this thread I had to put it on and give it a listen. Bogart (my kitten) just jumped up on my desk to listen too. He must like it too because he is now curled up on the blanket I have on my desk for him. The song talks about hopes & dreams and the main message is that every hope is worth saving. I completely agree and it always puts me in a great holiday mood.
Anyway I hope you can give it a listen and I hope you like it.
