    Sims 3 Has Stopped Working

    That is the message I get after the patch.

    I can get the launcher up, load Sims 3, but as I load a particular game, I get that and it closes.

    No problems before today's patch.

      Ah...yes I do. Will remove them and try. Must have had a mental lapse! ;)

      Same thing happens to me. Just patched 5 minutes ago. I have 2 saved games - one on a custom world and another on Moonlight Falls - and tried to open them both. I also made a random new game. While it's loading in, not even 10% loaded, the screen goes black and I get a Windows pop-up message about it not working.

      Aha. Removing the mods worked! I guess I should've tried that before posting. :lol: Thanks!

      Same here. I'll take out my mods, but geez, would it KILL them to release something crash-free once in a while?

      Its not their fault that you're using mods. Outdated mods cause crashes or other problems 99.9% of the time.

      ETA: I'm using mods too so I'm not trying to fault you for using mods, but you have to keep them up to date or you can't really complain about crashing.

      I get stuck after the intro video and my loading screen gets stuck and I can't even play any families. Also, I have NO mods. Any suggestions?

      Try moving the Sims 3 folder located in the Electronic Arts folder in My Documents to the desktop. Make sure its completely moved, not just copied. Then start the game and see if it works.

      What is this patch supposed to do? It's a big file, 213.9 MB.

      Hey ewilson1114, I had the same problem as sdv so I did as you suggest.

      It's definitely changed my game. My opening screen is different which I'm guessing is good.... But my saved games are all gone. Anyway to fix that?

      All I did was move the folder to the desktop...

      I don't have all my worlds just 3 of them
