Can't play for any longer than one sim day?

So, I recently got sims town life stuff and since I downloaded it the game won't allow me to play any longer than one sim day, The only other sim games I have are: Supernatural and Pets. I'm getting tired of not being able to play because it keeps "Not responding" How can I fix it?
I also don't have any mods so that can't be the problem..

Hi! I'm not sure what your problem might be, but do you know about DEP? If you are on Vista, DEP can cause the game to close after so and so long. Not sure if Win7 has the DEP thing.

Uh, I don't think my computer's got that.. Either that or I can't seem to find it despite following the instructions. It hasn't ever been like this before I got the town life pack..
