Latest update won't download

I have an iMac, and the EPs Ambitions and Pets.

I've been trying to install the new update all day, and because I've installed updates before I think I'm doing it correctly--I moved my downloads to a separate folder, etc.--but the update won't finish downloading. When I open the Launcher it asks me if I want to update my game, and I click yes. The download begins, and continues for quite some time.

But every time, the Downloading window closes before it reaches the end. I tried starting my game up, and it appears that the patch didn't install. It also asks me to download a new patch every time I open the Game Launcher, so I know it didn't finish.
