[Sims 2 Question] Installation Issue! "A problem occurred when transfer to copy the file -"

I know this is a Sims 2 question and this is the Sims 3 forums, however this is the best place I can go for help.
So I picked up The Sims 2 at a garage sale today for a serious bargain- $3! I was excited to try it out however I am having an issue with installing it. It stops at 4% and gives me this message:
I have tried multiple times to "retry" it however it always repeats this message. I also tried to restart the installation process, but no success.
Is there a reason why this is happening? Anything I can do to prevent this and get it to completely install? Thank you for any help & suggestions you can give
