Hello all I am very frustrated and would like some help with my game.
Sadly after successfully installing content from the Sims 3 store it does not appear in my game. None of it does, I have plenty of moneys worth of content and I can't even use it.
Let me be a bit more detailed. After downloading and installing store content via the game launcher the items downloaded and successfully installed do not appear in my game, once I exit the game and check the list of installed content, it is no longer their although it all remains on the list prior to opting to launch the game.
I have reinstalled my store content multiple times and would like a solution to this awful problem.
I have a Windows Vista operating system if that's any help

Try this: using the launcher, delete the things that are still showing as not installed. Make sure you are logged in with the launcher. Go to the sims store website and re-download your content. Then reinstall the freshly downloaded copy.
This has helped me when there are store things that keep "popping out" like that. When you download stuff from the store, it sends along a piece of information that says that you paid for the content; without that piece of information, it will not install. So, perhaps when you downloaded the first time, the download was missing that piece. Re-downloading, especially while you are logged in with the launcher, should fix it.
Edit: typos

Go into the folder My Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3. There are 3 folders related to installing stuff with the launcher; Downloads, DCCache, and DCBackup.
-Downloads is where the sims3packs go when you download them. Leave this alone.
-DCBackup is, well, a backup. Go into this folder and delete everything in it. It's not necessary once you've installed something successfully.
-DCCache is where the launcher puts installed files to be read by the game. Delete all the files in this folder that end in .ebc. Then restart the launcher and try again.
If it still does not work, go back into DCCache and delete ALL the files, then restart the launcher. If it continues not to work after that... I got nothing else, and you should try contacting EA Tech Support directly.
What probably happened then, is that it got installed just enough for the launcher to think it was installed, but not enough to really work (if that makes sense). Deleting the .ebc files uninstalled it so the install could be "clean" and working.
I'm having very limited access to this website since I've been back home in Canada and I cannot download anything through the store unless it's through the game.
Thank you!
Happy Simming!
Please add 3 items to your wish list from the store that are 100 points each I'd like to gift you some
If you have the files in your Downloads folder, you will be able to reinstall without redownloading. The files there should be named recognizable things, like "May2012.sims3pack" for example, for the May 2012 compilation. The launcher reads those files and re-packages them into the DCCache folder for the game to read; the game doesn't touch the Downloads folder at all.
Basically, if the stuff shows up in your Downloads list in the launcher, deleting the DCCache and DCBackup folder stuff will not change that, and you can reinstall from the list.
Please do not send me PMs/post on my wall if you're looking for help. I can't attend to those. You can find me at AnswerHQ.

I'm having the same problem. I tried the solution this person suggested ^, but no luck. My problem is not with Lucky Palms not showing up, but with Sunlit Tides not showing up in game. I know that this forum is for Lucky Palms, but I've searched everywhere for solutions for the Sunlit Tides one and haven't found anything!!
Any help is much appreciated!
edit: uninstalled it, re-downloaded and reinstalled, but it still does not show up in my worlds list. What else do I need to fix? Thx again!
