Lucky Palms- I need help!

Okay, so I'm downloading the new Lucky Palms world and I'm wondering: which version should I get? The standard or the gold? Is the set that's in the gold really worth the extra simpoints? I just feel like $37.00 is a lot for a ONE set and a new town.

I bought the Gold version because not only did it come with the casino but the blackjack table and the slot machine become items you can buy and place on your lot.

Also, your Sim will learn the gambling skill and every time I've had my Sims play slots they made. It's like the Vegas version of playing the guitar for tips at the subway station in Bridgeport.

I bought the normal version. The gold version is WAY to expensive if all it adds is a stupid casino.

I got the standard version because the other one was too much money....although I heard on another forum a while ago that it's cheaper if you just buy the standard lucky palms and the casino separate? Not sure if this is correct though.

I'd already got the casino, so I got the standard version. I'd say go ahead and get the town now so you can familiarize yourself with it, then get the casino later if it goes on a Daily Deal or if you get a really good deal on Simpoints (a package that has like a bunch extra). I have the casino in town but haven't gotten around to sending any of my Sims there yet. (Actually it's a smaller casino building I downloaded from the Exchange, so I wouldn't have to use the huge lot because I'm looking for clubs that'll work there.)

If you really badly want the casino, go for gold.

I bought the usual version. The casino didn't appeal to me whatsoever.

I'd say go for just the town. I have both the town and the casion and frankly, I wind up running around exploring everything and everyone in the town except for the casion.

I say like stilljustme2, wait until there's some deal on the casino and buy it then. You will have so much fun in Lucky Palms you won't even notice the lack of a casion. :)

Buying the gold version of Lucky Palms is cheaper if you want the casino as well, since it's 3700 simpoints for the bundle and 4000 if you buy them separate.

That being said, I have the gold version myself. It's not too bad, except for a minor glitch that comes with the blackjack table (it doesn't particularly bother me though). However the casino isn't a 'must have', so if you aren't really keen on it, I suggest getting just the standard version. :)

I just bought the town. I figured I wouldnt use the casino enough to make it worth the amount of points it costs. I LOVE the town :)

I bought the casino when it first came out, and was gifted Lucky Palms by a relative. I'll be honest, I've not really used the casino lot, but I have added the blackjack table and slot machines to my home lot. Not really used them much either though.

But Lucky Palms is absolutely amazing. It's particularly beautiful and detailed, and so unlike any other of the sims worlds. I've been playing there for days now. The architecture is brilliant, and is actually inspiring me to start building - I never really have. The wishing well is just so much fun, and I haven't even wished for a child yet ( I really want the evil child lol). And the houses on the pier are just spectacular. I don't know about anybody else, but I find the sounds of the seagulls, the water and the buoys very therapeutic.
can you make sword in box light sword so sword come out when opened? then if sword is back after sword, use light saber on box, and saber will boxed after sword is out.
