    What businesses in sims 3 can be run from home? Also, Is there anything for cooking?

      If you have the Ambitions expansion pack, you can be a painter, sculptor, inventor, gardener, writer, angler (not really at-home but the same idea), ghost hunter (sort of an at-home job)and after a certain level firefighter.

      Without Ambitions, you can't be self-employed.

      Nothing to do with cooking. Caterer would be a fun addition.

      Wish we could actually own a business in general, like in OFB in TS2. I thought that EP was fun.

      Don't forget Daycare profession with GEN. Also Twallan's SP increases the amount of at home career options you can have for your sims as well.

      With the Ambitions EP, once your sim learns the gardening skill, he/she can register at City Hall as a gardener. To earn money, you sell the fruits and vegetables that you grow in your garden.

      The title of it makes it sound like you get to landscape and maintain other people's yards so it's a bit misleading.

      It's closer to being a farmer.
