Sims getting lost on tour, and taking too long to save.

Just as the title says. I've only had one mod, which is a hospital Mod. And I added it AFTER these glitches were happening.
Yesterday I sent a sim on tour to my friends house. He never got there, nor did he return to my sims house. And I had to delete the family cause none of the members were selectable anymore.
So, I went to go play my legacy, and I tried sending the Grandmother on Tour, it took about 15 minutes saving, and I had to force it to shut down because of it. Last time I had to forcefully shut down while saving, it ended up saving anyway, and everything was fine. Well, not this time, everything wounded up going back to where it was today when I started.
Anyone know of any fixes for this?
