Question about changing the terrain

I have a question and I'm not sure if this can be done or not. I moved my Sims into one of the house that was along the beach and I was losing a big part of the backyard bc it was on a slope. Well I was able to move the house and flatten the yard but part of the backyard terrain is rocks and I can only put grass in spots around the rocks. I was wanting to know if there is anyway to remove the rocks from the terrain so I can make it all grass?
