Game Hanging after 1.33 patch

My game updated to 1.33 fine. I started the game, opened a brand new neighborhood and moved some sims into houses in Edit Town, but when I try to play any of the families, the game gets stuck loading the household. I have to close it with Task Manager. I ran Process Monitor, but I didn't see any bad files or anything unusual.
My hardware exceeds specs, and, as I mentioned, the game loads fine, Edit Town is fine, but actually trying to play a household hangs.
