Appaloosa plains beetles?

Hi simmers, my apologies if this is already a topic, I did a search on both the forums and google and found nothing :?

My current non official legacy is in Appaloosa plains and im currently bringing generation 6 into the simming world

My young sim has had the opportunity to collect some beetles. Iv been trying for three sim days now and cannot find a light beetle anywhere.
I've tried using the help given with the request and also tried having an older sim use the collection finder and still cannot find one anywhere!!

I had this problem with generation 2 and never bothered again until now and I'm still struggling to complete it!

Does anyone know of any specific spots that light beetles spawn?

If you can't find any just use cheats. The buydebug to get insect spawners and place it on your own lot is handy. I think they are an uncommon spawn.
