May I ask for just one minute of your time to read this message.
I believe that it is the opinion of many people that the standards of the forum (in particular) are slipping, with trolls suddenly attacking, and new "rules" that mean those who bump threads or try to warn others of wrongdoing are the ones who are silenced.
We can put a stop to this, but we all need to speak out together, and this petition is the way to get our voices heard. Yes, I realise that at the current time, EA may not see, but once this becomes widespread, and more people make their opinions known, then we have a good chance of something being done.
The below banner is a link to the petition.
If you want to support the cause, then paste this following code into your signature:

Anyway, I shall sign your petition and add the logo onto my Page
I realise that the troll has been on the forums for a long time now (I myself have been actively on the forums since last year) but this is the worst I can remember it being. Anyway, thank you for signing the petition. We've now reached 10 signatures!

I too will add your logo to my Page and sign. :]
Well said Wibble, I will place the message on my blog. It's funny this popped up to page one, because I just responded in the EA-its rant time thread:http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/300/489883 page
See it didn't even let it link. Nice!
twice and it automatically sends it to the second page of GD, it doesn't bump it up at all. It seems as if they are burying it and sweeping it under the rug like always. So my advice is get what you can, because this will probably get buried as well. Good Luck1

Thank you Psycho!

who will get this?
Once we have enough signatures, we can send it to them through email, or if another, better suggestion comes through from one of the members, then we can use that. I've never planned on this being one thing that I lead, I was just the person to put the first signature on the petition. Other simmers' ideas are welcomed.

Although I love the enthusiasm of the forums, making "hate the troll", "listen EA" threads, do you all think it's going to work? To get this horrific troll out of this place? He's been here time and time before, and the same thing happens, time and time again. I know it's fantastic what you're all doing - making banners and threads so that EA will notice, and to get the community more involved, but once this troll leaves he'll come right back again.
It's sad to see that the community seems to be putting more effort into get this troll away than EA itself. I've read posts, threads, blog posts etc that they're trying to get rid of him, but it'll never stop! It's a cycle! In fact, I'm rather used to it now. I've reduced my time on the forums, not only because I'm sick of seeing the troll everywhere, but also all the threads about him.
All of ye will probably disagree with me on this, and I know it hasn't exactly worked in the past, but by all of us/ye getting worked up by what he's done is creating a grin on his face! He's probably lurking the entire forum now, trying to grab another few codes to register another few accounts.
I was going to say that if we ignore him ... but of course that wouldn't work. To be honest I've just lost hope. It's really opened my eyes at just how bad EA are dealing with all of it. I'm sure they're doing something, but where's the communication to their fans? They seem to be so caught up in safety and stuff, but yet they can't deal with this?! It's actually quite amusing if you look at it from another angle; This troll has been around for months, on and off, and he's STILL active? Maybe EA are just blind to the fact that from a customer's/fan's point of view, they are doing nothing. Zilch. What was the reason for them not banning his IP address? Something to do with personal info? Eh? After all the people they've offended they care about this person's personal information? *sigh* Maybe I'm wrong on that now ...
When one troll leaves ... another arrives ... I used to love going on here, but with all the bannings over "Bumps" ... I don't know ... I'm just disgusted at how we're being treated by EA and the so-called moderators.
Ugh ... I don't know I'm sorry for that but I just had to say it. I have no solution to the problem, obviously, so this post might be a big waste of time.
But, again, Good Luck.
All I can say is: it's about time!
Please Note: Please do not post you-know-who's name on this thread. We wouldn't want him to Google himself and decide to get back at EA for this.
But as I said in another post that got moved here as well, more people will get to see it.
So, we need to keep EA's feet to the fire and strongly urge them to bring back the SimMasters, or their equivalent, and give them *real* moderating powers, just like in the days of the Sims 2 BBS.
"We Don't Care If You LIKE The Game, Just As Long As You BUY The Game!"
I Disapprove (Naturally)
I Took The Pledge!
Who is this troll?
And what is he/she doing wrong?
Basically an attack of "graphic" images showing "parts" of people arose on the forums. Members have been giving out death threats and generally abusing others.

Oh thank you!
That sounds terrible, hope he gets punished for his actions.
Argh just my luck; I can't the banner to work. Help would really be appreciated.
Haha, my thoughts exactly!
Seriously though, I signed your petition. Not only because of the troll (because I could honestly care less), but because the quality of these games has plummeted so fast that they've become literally unplayable.
I hope this gets the attention it deserves.
