Pets Freezing Issue - Sometimes you forget the simple things

After installing Pets, my saves kept randomly freezing during the Sim night.
I tried Save As. I tried using Twallan's MasterController to reset all. Still froze.
The patch made them a little less frequent but they still froze.
And then, while I was updating and restarting my virtual PC on the Mac, I decided it was time to go ahead and let the Mac also do its updates and restart.
That was the problem. I hadn't needed to restart the Mac for weeks and that must have caught up with me. The saves that had been causing me much grief are back to normal.
