Macbook Pro gets hot!

Is it normal for my macbook pro to get hot while playing TS3? My computer is one a flat surface and there are stoppers on the bottom so it's raised, but the fans get loud and it warms up. Is there anyway for me to cool it down? I have heard of smc fan control but I'm not sure what settings to use.

I don't have a Macbook pro but I believe they are pretty resilient and can get very hot without damage. I would suggest you try an Apple forum or talk to one of the Geniuses at an Apple store. This thread here may be helpful: https://discussions.apple.com/message/15174127#15174127

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have been playing the sims 3 on my macbook pro for the past 3 years and have had no damage done at all, as it gets hot as well. just make sure you play on a flat hard surface and you should be fine :)

Happens to mine too, it'll be fine.
