quote "I had exactly the same problem this last weekend and searched all over the internet but no offered solution worked for me. What i just found out is this: i put all my .package files stored in the mods>package into a different folder on my desktop, open the launcher and then the installer from the launcher does work again, install some stuff and quit the launcher, put all my .packages back in the mods>packages folder and start the program again to play. how did you got it fixed?
She used something somebody posted.
Yes, the thread blacksheba linked in her post worked for me
So happy for you!
I know how frustrating those mysterious messages can be! Isn't it wonderful that others post solutions and offer their help? Happy Simming
I know The simmers from the forums, especially this one, have saved my game more than once
Issues like this surely can be nerve racking!
Especially when they appear out of the blue! I'm always ready for problems after downloading a patch or installing an EP, but when disaster strikes without any warning... :?
I totally know what you mean!
Randomly a few days ago I went to watch a dvd on the computer...and my media player decides it can't play the disk due to a digital rights issue...which is weird as the disk worked a few days before that. Apparently the problem is an out of date video card...I think the issue was caused after installing Pets as that's the only thing that's been different on the computer between viewings of the disk.
Ooops, sorry to unload...lol anyways, I am glad you got it fixed! :P
