Issues With Town Life Stuff Pack

So I finally caved and in anticipation for Pets on Tuesday I purchased via GameTreeMac.com the latest stuff pack.
First I want to say, no CC, no mods.
Second, my game was working perfect prior to downloading the stuff pack.
Third, if I uninstal it Generations runs fine.
So my question is why can't I get the game to run? I open it, it opens launcher, everything is up to date, then I click play, I see the blue screen with the plumbob and it quits the game.
Ive verified my machine is up to date, restarted multiple times, reinstalled 4 times... tried to bypass the launcher with no success (launcher still opens)...im totally confused...help pls & thx!
