Uploading Sim does nothing

What is the point of the Launcher when the only thing we can upload is pictures?

I managed to work out how to upload my Sim but there is no ability to use it as my avatar in the community.

What's going on. Why is the Launcher so broken on the Mac when it's the exact same launcher as on Windows only going through Cider?

I constantly get a fail message when I try to upload a sim. Upload progresses right through to the end and as it's finishing is when the fail message comes up.

I can upload pictures and items (clothing) but that's it.
