This link will take you to an adapted version of my build. This lot is not meant to be judged, it doesn't meet the criteria, I just did it for fun and wanted to share. I originally planned to make this a resort, but resorts require really large objects that didn't fit into my theme. I made the adjustments, but am not very happy with the result, as it really just ruined all of my hard work for the original build. LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Blossoms & Bubbles Luxury Spa is like no other. Due to the lack of architectural restrictions I chose to build in my very own style. A style that refuses to fit into the architectural standard, it features modern, nature, cottage chic, organic, and finally, traditional "spa" influences. This is truly a fantasy spa. Upon entry you and your Sim will forget about the outside world...
This spa boasts: a full service salon (actually decorative only, as Sims do not know how to cut each other's hair,) a cafe with juice bar, a desert bar, manicure and pedicure room with stunning views of the ocean, massage treatment room (with a room divider, that can be easily removed for couples treatments,) two saunas, two shower rooms, three half bathrooms, two full service bath treatment rooms, fitness area, two yoga spaces (one in the beautiful trellised gardens, and the other inside for bad weather or outdoor-hating Sims,) an infinity pool with waterfall, parking lot with 3 parking spaces, and finally a hot tub located in it's own private garden.
I checked the routing of the entire building. The stacked stairs work perfectly (they are oriented the correct way). The only items that are unusable by Sims are in the salon; the hair washing stations and the chairs in front of them. I don't know why Sim's refuse to use the chairs, as removing the room divider did not change their foot stomping attitudes.
This is my first time using Paint extensively and do not understand the program at all. I do apologize for the varying sizes of the images. I plan on getting Photoshop back onto my computer in time for the next competition.

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Zen style day spa oozing luxury. Check in at reception and be led through the centre quad of swimming pools. The yoga platform, martial arts, sun terrace and bbq patio can be accessed from here. The three buildings contain gym, juice bar/café, tanning booth, hydrotherapy, sauna, massage and makeover rooms. There is also a bathroom and further seated waiting areas. These are linked by a walkway on the first floor.

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Hidden springs is known for its mountain get aways, amazing spa, and its fountain of youth. Venus wanted to create a space that included all her trips abroad and its fun things she bought, but she gave it a very traditional modern feel, with tones of spicy reds, browns, and dark and cherry woods. Very reminiscent of the craftsman era she is also fond of. Used a lot of palms and flowery trees in coresponding colors. Gave this spa a very warm and inviting feel.

I've been playing Sims since TS1 but am new to the Sims community :oops: . I just stumbled over this forum and am very interested in being a part of it. I'm having trouble navigating it through; I found the newest challenge posted today but I every time I click on the winners circle link to see past challenges and winners it says the last post was in 2012? Also how do I start a challenge or sign up? is there anything else I should know?

I think I'm going to bow out of this one. I seem to have absolutely no time at all for simming lately, and when I do actually get in game to have a go at this, my head isn't in it. :roll: I'll still try and finish it. Definitely an area where I need to improve with builds.
Anyway, hopefully I'll have more time next week with this assignment out of the way.

@ISHTARJMD, (re: feedback) LOL I know! I'm absolutely terrible with those overhead shots. They're really not difficult, I just don't remember them until I go through my pics after the fact, and this time I just ran out of time to go back in game and take them. :P It's a bad habit I'm going to simply have to drum into my brain to break I think. Might have to start with overhead shots just to make sure I get them. :oops:

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: This is my first entry into a challenge! I wasn't sure whether to count myself as a beginner or intermediate. There's not much to add that can't be seen in the photos, except... I hid a resort tower in the basement just to make the spa function as a resort lot! I hid the stairway behind the reception desk, with some seating around it for camouflage. I really wanted to use it as a resort, so I hope it was ok to do that. I tried my best to hide it! Also, the aquariums are windows into the pool. It'll look like the guests are swimming in the aquariums! And one last thing; the stereo is hidden in the Zen garden (it's the one that looks like a rock.)

The lower level houses a pool, a sauna, and a large hot springs area. The outdoor space is fully landscaped in a zen garden fashion.

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: [I was having trouble getting Sims to go to the lot, so I apologize in advance for the darker pictures and the terrain tool showing in one of the pictures. I did not have time to retake all of my pictures, but I included as many areas as possible when adding the optional challenge so that the actual colors and lighting could be seen.] Based on the ancient Roman bathes, Venus's Vespers Day Spa has everything you need to relax and glow with health! You can take the hot spring water, breathe in the vapors, and soak in the hot spring water, just like the Romans did! Added to these attractions are more modern spa options, such as the milk, mud, or herbal bathes. Facials and massages are also available, as is a sauna and tanning booths. A coffee and juice bar features free fresh fruit for your good health! Outside is a soothing pond with a fountain, a waterfall, a flower grotto, and a quiet yoga/meditation area--all surrounded by lush foliage and flowers!
