CAW tool will not work

it says that it is not compatable with my version of the sims3, i've been having problems since i got ambitions

Have you downloaded the latest version of Create-a-World from the Sims 3 website?

Can you also post the complete version numbers of your installed games please? To find out this information, run the launcher and then hover the mouse pointer over the game icons located in the bottom left corner. When you have the full game version numbers you can post them in this thread.

I´m having the same problem. I found this post yesterday, I followed the link, re/downloaded and re/installed the WB three times. I´m concidering uninstalling Ambitions, cause I´d rather have the WB.

My version is 1.19.44.010002

I just got the game this week, and ive never gotten the WorldBuilder to open

Help appriciated

ps, I think it´s a little bs that EA makes us solve this on the forum instead of providing official fixes

Hi Quaisoir,

You can try manually updating your expansion packs by downloading and applying the following standalone Super Patchers:

Word Adventures (Region 2)
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3EP01_2.14.4.010002_Update.exe

Ambitions (Region 1)
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3EP02_4.7.4.010001_Update.exe

Note that the standalone patches are self executable, meaning you can simply download them to your Windows desktop and run the setup installers directly. Other than ensuring that the game and launcher are not running, no further setup is required.

If you should receive a patch error message stating that the installed version of the game could not be determined, it is advised that you run the patcher as an administrator. You can do this by logging into Windows via an administrator account or by right-clicking on the patch installer and then selecting "Run as Administrator."
