haha thanks im a big nerd and a bit of a tomboy so I think me and jimmy are on the same wavelength xD I noticed Jimmy's fave colour is red so I used it liberally hope its not too much.
Okay, this is what I have so far. I'm not uploading yet either, because I want to do the side challenges. I really tried to challenge myself this time and reach past my comfort zone. I think I accomplished that, at least.
I would truly appreciate it if those that look these over, would let me know if I forgot anything major.
I love yours, Bennjoon. The indoor ... correction.. indoor/outdoor pool totally rocks! I totally didn't think of using those pillar candles, I think they really adds a lot to that whole "get me a laaadieee" feel in his room! haha And the rose trellis.. another fantastic idea. Awesome.
hehe thanks I really like yours it reminds me of a european style house, Swedish? and its cool becuase it could be a bachelor pad or nice family home which is what Jim wanted.
The best thing about my pool is that it counts as outdoors so they dont get that wierd moodlet thingy also I think the way it goes outside looks nice
Some piccies from the house I've built for Jim. Think I'm going to play around a bit more with it but I quite like it. He's filled his garden with flowers because he knows the girlies like them, ha ha
Wow! That is an amazing build, Bluebell. Love the garden and the.. Pool House? Very nice.
I'm also still tweaking mine and testing it. I plan on sprucing it up a bit more. Unfortunately, however, I lost a lot of money by deleting things as I was working. Not getting back the full price stinks. lol
Okay, so here is my first story every.. and it's lame.. but that's life! lol

I have a question for you amchristian, how did you do that with the bed. Im not gonna steal your idea I promise.. Im just a beginner at building and I have never seen that before and was wondering how it was done.
I am also not going to upload yet, since I want to get Jimmy at least engaged before I do so, but I wanted to share some pics as I'm pretty happy with this build.
And finally, here is Jimmy's makeover. I gave him a haircut and a shave and found a new pair of glasses for him. As for his clothes, I tried to maintain a "geek chic" look for him. He's still something of a nerd, but hopefully a more attractive one.

Hi Stephanie,
Feel free to use whatever inspires you.
I used the "moveobjects on" cheat and used curtains, the last ones in the curtain category. It was easy to do and the sim has no trouble using the bed.
To do the cheat, you need to hold down: CTRL SHFT C all at the same time to get the cheat chat line. Then just type in moveobjects on . This allows you to put objects where they normally wouldn't go.
Hope that helps. You can do all kinds of neat things with this building cheat.
Thanks amchristian. Need to stop my obsession with brick and wood pannelling though I think, all my houses are looking the same!
Love Jimmy's makeover story
I think we get some obsessions for a reason. Your reason is obvious, you do wonderful things with those mediums! hehe My obsession lately has been variations of blue, blue green, cream, tan, gold...
Whoa! You guys are doing a FANTASTIC job so far! Love what I'm seeing.
Benny, you are getting quite good at doing moderns!
I dig the contemporary cabin feel of your build too, amchristian! It's great seeing everyone using moveobjects quite liberally! And Jimmy is looking much better!
Bluebell: I really like your mix of brick and wood for the exterior. The curb appeal is quite nice.
Amchristian: I totally did that same thing with the curtains over the bed - but in a different house that I have built not for one of the challenges. I'm glad you said that the sims still can sleep in it because I haven't play tested it yet. Thanks for that tip. Great minds think alike I believe!

GMTA, for sure. Stranger than that.. my middle name is Michelle!
I was trying to think of some way to dress up his cheap bed and large, but nearly empty bedroom and make it look like a bower of love. haha.. I feel I could have added a lot more, but I changed my mind so many times, that I ran out of money early because I didn't get full refunds..
You also don't get refunds if you lay tiles on top of tiles instead of deleting them first. Found that out the hard way when I covered the entire lower floor in $20 tiles and then covered them in $4 carpet.
Okay, I'm hushing now. I'm just so excited. lol This was a lot of fun.. Now, what will I do the rest of the week!
Love it amchristian, he doesn't waste much time does he. The house looks lovely and the gnomes are hilarious!
Thank you, Bluebell! I love the gnomes too, lol. They are crazy.
Here's my entry fot week #10. This upload doesn't include Jimmy's not-yet-found wife since it's supposed to be a bachelor's pad Later I'll post "Jimmy before and after" pics and as soon as I find him a laaaady, I'll post pics of that too
Whoopsie! I just noticed that poor Jimmy has no space to prepare food in his kitchen! And that is because I put the garbage can in front of that space. SO, if you download my lot, move the garbage can somewhere else and Jimmy can eat something else than quick meals again. Thank you and sorry
Amchristian: So nice to be able to comment as people post this week. Brilliant combinaiton of the red with a lighter wood and a stone foundation. Not sure about the style of cabinets in the kitchen but I do like the colours you used for them. I especially like your bar and TV area. And, oh my what a bedroom. Love the use of the expensive curtains to create a luxuary four poster.
BluebellFlora: The way the interior brick works gives the house a slightly urban feel looks good. Like the feature wall framing the window as well.
jayemmpee: I like your nice simply interiors, especially your white and stone kitchen area. That first grey bathroom (the one with the shower in) is spectacular, really clean cool and modern.
Anartistica: Unique, unusual and gorgeous just like normal. Beautiful idea for the pool at the back. WOW! Shocking interior... was not expecting that LOL! Love the way you combine items to create other things. And the bedroom is very cool (not sure classy works though )
