That is pretty dumb...Although i've never tried it myself, it does seem like a very viable option that Sims should have.

I know! It sucks. :( I wish I could invite family over and have them baby sit, bit I guess it kills that babysitter option.

Leave a child with grandparents instead of paying 75 Simoleons an hour to have some stranger come watch your young ones? Are you kidding? What do you have against the capitalist system, you socialist?

They need to do something they need to do something about that. They should have a option for when you click on a famliy memeber house to "Visit Uncle/Aunt/Cousin/Brother/Sister/Mother/Father/Grandparents/Grandma/Grandpa/etc" That would give the game a more family feel. Once I move the siblings out the house I hardly see them again.

It would be nice if family could watch the kids. I would love if I could send the kids to the grandparents' house for the day.

    Yeah, that's pretty lame.

It would be really cool if we could send grandchildren to their grandparents house for the weekend or something.

In Sims 2 when you moved relatives out they would drop by your house once in a while. I remember one Sim in Sims 2, his mother was crazy, LOL, and she use to come over and dance in front of his friends and embarrass him. They would make the twirly motion near their heads to indicate she's crazy. LOL. I thought that was great!

YES! I miss the fact that people would randomly come over for a visit.

I miss in sims 2 when you could ask people to babysit your kids.

I'd like this too. Visit grandparents for a day or something like that.

Your neighbors still do that, but rarely. They cannot visit every day, probably because of school, work, or whatever.

Yea I like the idea of being able to have family members babysit.
Last nite I just invited a friend over a couple hours b4 work and he actually stayed in my house lol (actually he randomly stayed overnite...lol) with the baby, but it still said I have to call a babysitter
    lame

You know- you can move the grandparents in and out as if they were coming over to babysit... :D

The option's there- might have to do a little controlling but that's not hard. :)

I don't know if this will help, but if you have a roommate, they can watch the kids while the parents are out. I learned this yesterday while playing. In my game I have a sim who was married. She first had a baby, and then her and her husband had a child. While they were both at the hospital, the roommates took over with the toddler. Then about two sim days later, the husband was killed. I had to send the widow over to pick up the urn. It was inside one of those apartments in Bridgeport.

Both times the parents left the children alone and the roommates were there to care for them. I never got a phone call from the baby sitter people telling me I can't leave the child home alone.

I know it's not the same thing, and yes I would love to see the ability for the relatives to take over, and also the ability that the children can spend the night or weekend at their relatives home.

I usually have all of my sims' family members living in the same house! I usually have a basement or something for them..and I'll just let them be (it'll drive you crazy if you try to control every single member of your sim family!)
