    Problem resolved.

    I opened the launcher (as normal) and clicked play. The Sims 3 opened but it's just a black screen. I went on Task Manager and it said it was running normally! I tried to open it two more times but the same thing happened. My game has always run smoothly and my computer can handle it all. Any ideas?

    EDIT: my problem has been resolved!
