Help: Going Steady option After Resurrection Not Showing Up

I have no idea where to put this because this mean site won't let me have access to the technical issues forum for some reason so I have no choice but to try here.
My inventor died from a fire while his fiance, a firefighter, was off handling an emergency (that's why I hadn't known he was on fire. If I had I wouldn't have let him die). I was so upset when I suddenly heard the grim reaper music and saw that he had died while I was away! They were engaged before he died. I resurrected him using Ambrosia and their relationship was never the same. They were tagged as each others boyfriend/girlfriend and yet on their information panels it would say that they had no partner. And no matter how many romantic options I tried between the two the option to go steady wouldn't appear!
So I had my inventor break up with her and I made them friends again and now they are romantic interests but no matter how many romantic options I do the option to go steady still won't appear =(
