Do I have to update it when I install Late Night or will it work?
And also do I have to remove all CC?
Thank you,
XOXO
No, you don't have to remove all CC. Although any CC you have which alters existing content or does things outside of the norm for the game (such as script mods, etc.) could cause problems so you will want to remove those unless updates are available.
I know of at least a dozen different CC's that absolutely DO cause crashes in Late Night. Some of them very popular downloads, such as the "Box of Seeds" from MTS. You need to get updates for these kinds of CC or remove them, or you absolutely will have problems. This may even apply to lots which you have downloaded. I had two lots that I had to completely remove because they caused the game to crash after installing Late Night.
If you don't keep your CC organized such that you actually KNOW which this applies to, well then you may have to remove all of it. It's all dependent upon whether or not you were making sure to categorize and organize your downloads ahead of time so you would be able to determine what you needed to update/delete when the next expansion. Out of some 1600 files worth of downloads/CC I needed to delete only 4 things, and update about a dozen.
you can either go thru your mods folder, find anything named 'nraas' and delete it. or download the new version and it will more than likley tape over it.
(i dont suggest that tho, in case it doesnt) you dont want 2 in there :P
Umm if you have packages so files in you sims 3 mod folder (so mydocuments/electronicarts/sims3/mods) you can just select and delete. If they are in your launcher go onto your launcher and click on the button that sais "installed content" a list will come up. highlight tho ones you want to remove and there is a button at the bottom saying uninstal
Just cut and paste you mods folder to the desktop. After installing
Late Night, you can delete Master Controller from the Mods folder and
then put you Mods folder back where it was.
You don't have to remove the CC that is in the launcher. Those are
.sims3 packages and are ok to leave alone.
