I love CAS, and spend a lot of time making Sims. I wish there was a button on the Main Menu for CAS though rather than making me load a neighborhood(which has a long loading screen), then edit town, then create-a-sim.
Hear hear!! Best idea I read so far, I bow down to you
Entering Create-A-Sim from the main menu would be GREAT!.
And while we're at it, can we add
-Create-A-Home
-Create-A-Style (the homedeco one, so furniture, wallpaper ect)
&
-Edit town (and then choose the town you want to edit) too??
Honestly, that's the kind of menu I expected to begin with.
I used my awesome photoshop skills to make an example
of what we mean (*cough cough*)
At least, I think this is what you mean??
Rough draft of The Sims 3 Main Menu.
It looks like crap but you get the idea right?
I didn't have a better backdrop atm.
Create a Sim - would bring you directly to CAS (doh)
Create a Home - would bring you to a tiny empty map with all lotsizes available
Create a Style - would bring you to ..create a style (furniture, wallpapers ect)
Edit town - Choose the town you want to edit, then edit away.
Options - Gameoptions (doh)
Lessons - Lessons library
Open launcher - ..
Quit - ..
And ofcourse the already present one, choose the save/hood you want to play.
The dropdown menu on that one would be absolete or only have the options
that are left (credits, reset tutorials ect)
So I quess the majority is satisfied with the very sober
main menu we have now...
And nobody wants easy acces to CAS or buildmode ect?
Don't you ever feel you just want to fool around in CAS a bit (bodyshop)
or just build a nice house (which you save for future family's ect)?
Instead of playing.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could do that straight from the main menu
instead of loading up a neighborhood, go to edit town and
then go from there?
