@mnop: No they can't. Alex tried to go to school but he kept having to stay home for being grounded. He didn't get in trouble for skipping but his grades did go down as result and he got in trouble for that.

LOL, I know! The whole grounding thing is a bit messed up! Sarah kept getting in trouble for skipping school all the time, and I was like "hello! you wouldn't let her go!"

It sounds to me that not all aspects of Generations have been thought out very well. I would hate my sims to be punished without me being able to stop the interaction. I am too much of a control freak to allow a game to dictate to me how I should play my sims. I guess that's why I won't play without mods. When I do finally install Generations (which has been sitting on my desk unopened for about a month), I will make sure I am armed with mods that can counter whatever game-imposed morals and discipline that don't suit my gameplay in the least.

When this happens, I reset the parent before they punish the sim.I hate how my sim's kids get grounded and can't leave the house, so they get punished when going to school(That's dumb and EA should fix that) But if they skip school, they get in trouble too.So its a No win situation.

yeah they get punished for sneaking out if you make them go to school.
I don't play with mods tho, as it's my Fiance's computer, not mine, and he won't allow it. I've debated it many times, but he's worried about viruses and whatnot, even tho I know a lot of them are safe!

Reseting the sim sounds like a good idea. Also you can have the parent forgive the kid and let them off the hook. When that happens, the negative moodlet goes away and the kid is free again. I agree though, not going to school when grounded is dumb.

Wow! This thread moves fast!
Just wanted to post some replies to people but I'm kind of going back in the thread a bit. @buckosnort (I hope I spelled that right) Beautiful Sim, love the colour of her hair, deep red
@springfairy I love the colourful sparkles I assume that's when a new baby pet is born. That's a nice picture.
Sorry about the wait I was playing my custom neighborhood Valenta in the sims 2 with community lots made mostly by me apart from a few downloaded ones) and ea houses.[If you want a pic of some of my families there just tell me and I can post them as the children are uber cute and the girls are hot hot hot .]
I'm glad your enjoying my story, and yes, there is no mother.
Gabriella toils at the chemistry station getting her logic up to 5 still unable to make any potions. (She's definitely going to be a scientist... NOT)
Louis with his improved cooking makes some... tasty cookies.
"I caught a big one" Gabriella explains as she uses her new-found fishing skills from boy-scouts after-school activity.

Terrific Family Play
Too fun The sims 2 forever
@Supersimmian - great update. Love the hair colour prank. My son will be a teen in a couple of years ... I hope I don't have to put up with tricks like that
@SpringFairy - I realise that resetting a sim will stop the action, but I hate resetting my sims unless I absolutely have to. I hate the way it takes them back the mid-line for fun and also makes them tire quicker so they need to sleep before my other sims are ready to.
I could not imagine my game without mods. I played that way for the longest time (until May of this year) and was really ready to give up the game altogether (not from problems, but from boredom). Now I can play the game in a style that suits me - it's not T-rated and it keeps me amused for hours each day while my son is as school.
peterskywalker - great update. That fish is as big as Gabriella I see you don't have the "invisible/miniscule" fish problem some have been writing about on the forum.
ETA: Not that I am superstitious, but I feel oddly relieved we are on a new page
The resemblence of Phyla and Clover? And yea, the baby horse is brown like the father with a short tail like the father and its head is similar to its mother. And JSB is fine.
Great I'm glad that JSB is good. Yes the resemblence between phyla and clover I had noticed how similar they were prior to you pictures. I get a kick out of genetics so I sometimes try and see which sim favors which sim.
Same.
Btw, cool new save. And I think that house is where I put the Rastins in my game. If looking at the front of the French and McIrish house when starting a new Sunset Valley, is their house to the left?
It is an EA house that is in the lot bin. I just made a few modifications. I didn't even redecorate it because it is not a forever house.
I mean, I think it's where I placed the lot I created in Sunset Valley. Is the house to its right the French and McIrish starter house?
Super, just voted in your heir thread. Wow, four generations. Can you post screenies of each family member like you did for the four possible heirs in your thread?
Super, just voted in your heir thread. Wow, four generations. Can you post screenies of each family member like you did for the four possible heirs in your thread?
Cool, thanks. And I see you added these to the other thread too.
Wow, so the latest gen is like the only gen with multiple heir possibilities. First gen was founders, second just one child, third two children, and fourth four. Who's in the pic with Jesse; is that Jason?
why12 Wonderful new legacy family. Nice update. Where are they living?
Thank you. In twinbrook, In the little 2br 1 Bath house. I plan to extend it, as It's just currently a Starter home.
As for the kids- I plan to play as the adults til the kids grow up, Then once the kids grow up, I'll kick Mindy out and Go with matt, or vice versa. And then I'll get him a family, although he has commitment issues, and so does Mindy.
Susy And John, May have more kids, Undecided as of now.
Cool, thanks. And I see you added these to the other thread too.

No it's Joshua. Jason's hair was lighter than that.

"AGAIN!! You remember what happened last time?"
