Resetting Tombs

I have found a way to completely reset a tomb (almost).

Note to the SimGurus: This is not a topic about installing mods.

Warning: This requires you to modify something in the Options.ini file. I would highly recommend backing up this file in case the file mysteriously corrupts the game. As with all modifications, try not to modify other options if you do not know what it is used for.

The file that we need is found in:

(Vista/7)
\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
or
(XP)
\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Open the file called "Options.ini" and find a line that says "enabletombresets" and set the value to '1'.

Now the tomb should reset every time your Sim returns home. However, the traps that were disabled by your Sim are still disabled.

So this does what exactly? Relocks the doors and turns the fog back on? If it doesn't reset the traps there's no a lot of point. Traps are 50% of the puzzles.

Hrm okay then. What about secret doors and singular relics? Do they reset too?

Because fog resetting isn't really that spectacular. What I gather is that the tombs don't actually remember where various items (like statues) and stuff actually were WITHOUT extensive coding, so..yeah.

    Thanks anyway.
