Store Request - Science Fiction Set!

«1
Would anyone want to see a sci-fi set in the store? Maybe some wallpapers and floors, a cool sci-fi computer console thingy, space station type doors, a communications headset accessory, you know, like stuff right out of Mass Effect...

Who's with me?!

I think that's a fabulous idea. A food replicator would be really neat too.

Yes, more confusing technology would rock! :D It'd be a cool set, I'd buy it for sure.

    (p.s. I miss Solace) :/

I'd love to see a sci-fi set. But it also depends what KIND of sci-fi too.

I mean, there's huge clunky, industrial sci-fi (like Star Wars). Then there's smooth, shiny, streamlined sci-fi (like Star Trek). And then comes filthy sci-fi (like Bladerunner).

There's lots of choices for sci-fi, I really hope we can see sets for them all. :D

I personally like the "Used Future" sci-fi a'la Bladerunner and Aliens but I think for it to be incorporated into the Sims 3 it'd have to be the "shiny" kind of sci-fi.

I'm all for it, whatever kind of sci-fi it is. We've had Steampunk and Gothique so let's bring on the sci-fi!

    Hmm...lets see.

Nice crisp, detailed, carbon fiber textures would be cool. That honeycomb pattern on Miranda's outfit, and glowy LEDS, would also be cool.

A couple of hover cars or really futuristic ground cars.

    Shiny floors (shiner than this)

    Holographic interfaces:

    Oooh, look at this lamp.

I don't know what this thing is, but yeah...this.
Form, color, texture, line, compostion...all that.

Should be plenty of things to do with accessories.

And here is a sketch of the real deal.

Thanks for the pictures, CK213! I was definitely thinking of all the wall and floor textures from Mass Effect. And there's really a lot of cool sci-fi patterns that could be made as well.

Floor and wall textures would be great. TS2 Pets had a couple I found very useful for a few sci-fi themed lots.

    Fantastic idea!
I'd love to be able to create a house that resembles a space ship or colony pod on a planet...great for some different storytelling!

Yea!!! The sims 2 Pets had the Atomic set, I think it was called. It had a seperate kids set with beds, rocket ship themed. It had kids wallpaper with moon craters, rockets and planets, and a toy box. Also funky modern wallpapers and floors and furniture. And Windows and doors with odd shaped circular cutouts. I built a house called the Atomic house for sims 2 downtown. I'd Love sci-fi themed stuff for sims 3. A whole sci-fi/aliens EP would be even BETTER.

I think there should also be a sci-fic set based around doctor who which is a popular show in Canada, Britain and United States.

Give it a little bump since EA seems to be delivering on this request.

I am looking forward to the windows since they look like my favorite onces from TS2 Pets. The over hood will be very welcome and I like the bar stool and the ceiling light. The rest...I'll have to see real pictures of.

I hope EA is giving us shiny floors. [looks at shiny floor in sketch] :hunf:

Oooh Goody! Love it! Keeping fingers crossed that we get shiny and space age floor and wall coverings like some we had in TS2. Then, I can really build a space ship, have it suspended in the air!

Let's not forget the yucky gross Sci fi of Aliens and Predator.
edited to include; I also find this to be an exelent idea which I would probably beg for Simpoints for.

I've been playing Fallout 3 like mad lately so I would LOVE to see another Atompunk set like they had in the Sims 2.

For some reason it reminds me of futuristic Bikini Bottom, where everything is shiny XD

Yeah, bring on the sci-fi set and anything under that category 8D Speaking of cars, I'd like to see them do this:

How the heck do you turn that thing? :hunf:
