Country Charm - BnS #49

misscbongmisscbong Posts: 736 Member
"Country" Charm" is a house made for the BnS challenge #49. We were given this house and cannot change any foundation or wall positions, and the roof had to stay the same as well. TONS of fun to work with, and interesting to see how different people used the specified rooms.

This is a fully furnished and decorated bungalow. It offers three large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a kitchen/dining area towards the back of the house, and a large entry and living room at the front. The house costs around 98,000 simloeans and boasts an outdoor fireplace, large pond, country shabby-chic decorating and much more!

You did a wonderful job, misscbong!

Definitely very quaint and you captured the shabby chic country essence very well inside and out. I really liked the subdued colors you used throughout the interiors, from the red country kitchen to the soft greens in the master bedroom and bath. Excellent work with the landscaping too!

Wow, thank you all so much!

Anjubee- That's so nice of you to say! I really seem to prefer lighter interiors at the moment, and something about white hardwood floors and panelling just seems to make me smile! I can't seem to kick the style.

Thanks everyone else. I had a blast playing around with the house, and saving time from designing one, and just enjoying the decorating aspect.

Thanks, fieryfemale! And I appreciate the rec'd. And, yes, I was trying to be very heavy on the charm and cute shabbiness of the house.

Soft and nice colors inside the house. Looks very calm. I've never seen anyone put a fireplace outside before and haven't even thought about it myself, but it looks kinda cool! rec from me.

Anartitica - I hadn't ever seen an outdoor fireplace either (as far as I can recall) but it just seemed to make sense, especially as that one is double sided so the Sims can see the pond behind it.

rossbobs - Haha, thanks, and yes the name explains it all!
