Can those netbooks run the sims 3?

I've been looking at laptops and netbooks and well i am wondering....could a netbook run the sims 3? I've been told no but i am secretly hoping there is a netbook strong enough...

(Sorry if this is asked in the wrong place i am not sure where to post it)

If you want an inexpensive sims 3 computer, a desktop is the way to go. You get much better performance for the price than with any portable. You can easily have a Sims 3 capable machine for the price of a netbook.

Main thing for playing Sims 3 or any other 3D game, btw, is the video card... make sure you get one that meets the system specs.
