My little sim girl worked in the science lab and had 3 promotions. She worked from 9:00am - 2:00pm and had time to go out after work and was still able to get max sleep and food. A pop up came to work for a medical career with a level for posistion and $73 an hour pay. Stupid old me thought this was awesome. The only problem is, my sim works from 8:00am to 7:00pm and is practically dead when she comes home. No wonder the difficulty level went from 1 to 3 x3

coffee her up before work. That will give her an extra three hour Buzz. Then you can select 'work hard' while she's buzzed. As soon as she crashes, select either slack off or talk to coworkers until the 'caffine crash' wares off. Then return to business as usual. That should make it a little more managable.

Ugh, that must be infuriating.
I'd say try to drink a bunch of coffee before work or at least try to go down a level for the job until she's ready.
