Random Crashing/Freezing (cant minimize either)

Hello,
I've had TS3 sense the day it came out, first off let me say my computer passes the recommended Specs by far, but i do run the game on medium settings for stability issues...My base game is on CD, but WA and ML are both EADM versions...I've started getting crashes every 15-20 minutes with freezing occasionally, ive always had crashes every few hours but never like this. my game is unplayable right now, it seems to have gotten worse when i got ML. I do use mods/CC but only an Eye & Skin replacement, It seems i can cause a crash whenever i do something major for example, every other save, when i edit town, place a new house in a neighborhood, pretty much anything that causes the "processing" screen. I've done everything from reinstalling and trying it without any CC or store items...still does the same thing, i have a fully patched game. Anyone have any ideas?

The only thing I can think is that it could be the CCs/Mods are interfering with your game. CCs/Mods can put stress on your system and slows down your game, or shut down the application.
Have you tried uninstalling the CCs/Mods off your system? Sometimes removing CC/Mods helps computer recover from such issue. If uninstalling CCs/Mods did not help your game from crashing, it's possible that it has permanently corrupted your game and the saved data. In this case you will probably need to do Manual Uninstall:

Once you Manually Uninstall then RE-installed your game, I suggest you to NOT put your old saved data back because that contains CCs/Mods files that has corrupted your game and it can corrupt the game again if you try to play those saved data.
As of your Minimize issue, it's a known issue since patch 1.9/2.4 and currently has no solution. I heard you're more likely to get one if you had a digital copy of HELS.

The DXDiag report indicates your video device is drawing 1279MB from your system RAM, yet the card is equipped with its own dedicated VRAM at 1007MB. It is possible this memory configuration is having a negative impact on game performance and stability. It is recommended that you reduce the shared memory space used by the card to 0MB. Having more system RAM allocated to the game and OS means less dependency on virtual memory from the hard disk, which is much slower than actual RAM. This will also improve GPU memory performance by forcing the card to use its own ample and much faster VRAM. Changing that setting can only be done at the BIOS level however, so if you choose to do this please consult a local certified PC technician or someone well versed in computer hardware setup.
There is another possibility. It is now known that the Sims 3 throttles the graphics processor quite aggressively - meaning the game forces the GPU to work much harder than it actually needs to for smooth gameplay (you may notice erratic and sudden FPS spikes). Users have reported that this has led to video cards or video chipsets that get overheated in a short amount of time. Prolonged heat stress can in fact damage your video device if left unchecked. This might be a cause of the crash issues you are experiencing.
Ensure you are using the PC in a room with a cool temperature. Verify that all cooling fans inside the PC case are operational and unobstructed. If and when there is dust accumulation, use cans of compressed air to clear them out - pay particular attention to cooling fans, heatsinks and exhaust vents. Do this while the PC is switched off, of course. Ideally, the general operating range of video cards is about 45-65 degrees Celsius.
But perhaps the best way to keep your video card running stable - in addition to keeping the room temperature down and the PC case well ventilated - is to enable a feature called V-Sync. Since your card is from NVidia, this can be done from the NVidia control panel (use the Force On setting). There is no V-Sync option from within the game itself at this time. This issue is currently under investigation by EA. If setting V-Sync via the control panel does not resolve your crash issues, you might try using a third party FPS limiter utility instead. If you have any external devices or peripherals plugged into your desktop, try removing them and see if that helps improve game stability and performance. An overloaded power supply can be a contributing factor to your issue. You can also try disabling any background tasks or processes (EADM, firewall, anti-virus etc.) that might be interfering with the game. Instructions can be found in the following link:

I would love to do what you said about the BIOS, but i dont want to have to pay for someone else to do it. As for the Vsync, ive had that forced on for awhile because of TS3. I will have to look into the FPS limiter. My Comp does have a temp display and it never gets as high as you stated. I always make sure its dust free, the only thing i can think of is making a new user account which means i would need to reinstall all my store/exchange items.
