Bursting into flames?

I played the game for the first time yesterday since the last update. In the two or three Sim days I played my Sim, who has level 4 cooking, sets his stove on fire twice while cooking a meal. Fortunately he's a Scientist & had a Simray in his inventory so was able to extinguish himself. This hasn't happened to him before the update & in fact, I can't remember when it last happened to any of my Sims, so I was wondering if it might be an update issue.

I wish I had an answer for you. Are you fully patched? If you have Mods, have you tried to play a test game to see if it still happens after the Mods are removed? The other thing you can try is a game repair. I've learned this is something I need to do after every patch. Best of luck.

Yes he does.

That's why then. Fear of Fire makes sims much more likely to cause fires than they would otherwise.
