      It's kinda random. Sometimes, your children may obtain the trait and from then on, it will be inherited.

      alright so i marry a RockStar to have the Rocker trait,A Firfighter is a ______?,A buguler is the _____ trait and so on that i dont know. :?:

      Do the icons actually show up in the traits list of the Sim? Mine just had a baby with a firefighter and am wondering how I'll be able to tell if she's got the hidden traits before she starts setting things on fire.

      Like I said, it's by chance. And if you happen to be so lucky in obtaining one, it probably will be inherited by your children. Now if this sequence keeps on going, you may get them all in one Sim. It's my theory.

      :D My sims can salute. Its not really a trait, its more of an ability...

      Yes, you gain it when you gain a high rank in the military carrier.

      Well actually, for salute, if you have someone (I believe level 5 or higher) in the military career you can salute. As for the hidden traits, lets just say I've got a guy who enters the Rock path in his Music career. Then he marries someone and has a few children, there is a random chance that their children will be a Rocker. This happened to me, but it wasn't his child who got the trait, it was his /grandon/! And as far as I remember the picture was there, but I'm not positive.
