I actually watched the whole livestream and figured I'd share some info here for people who are wondering 
since it is all Maxis-sourced info.
CAS
ASPIRATIONS
LIKES/DISLIKES now includes Fashion styles (hipster, boho, etc)
TRAITS New trait Socially Awkward affects new relationships more, more comfortable in established relationships. (They didn't go into how this will differ from the Loner trait and/or Close-Knit lifestyle.)

All the new clothing and hair is styled for teens, in many different aesthetics.
Many items work on both masculine and feminine frames
School uniform clothing is available. There is no gameplay mechanic for uniforms, but you can manually dress students in them if you want a school with uniforms.
Body hair is coming as a basegame patch and includes chest, arms, legs, back. There is an "Enable Hair Growth" toggle that comes with the pack.
Can shave chest, arms, legs, and back separately in the mirror and/or shower

There are 4 new teen-only aspirations, all of which grant a special reward trait. The bonus trait for selecting any of them in CAS is Relatable (friendly relationship boost)

Live Fast- live carefree and rules-free

(toggle) If they are open to exploration, their preference can be adjusted by their romantic actions over time. If they are not open to exploration, they reject romantic advances from people who don't suit their orientation.
The default setting is exactly the same as the way sims are currently: no preset preference for romance or physical intimacy (no checkboxes checked), open to exploration.

The pier amusement park objects appear to be rabbitholes with different kinds of interactions possible
World includes swimmable water and various hangout spots on neighborhood terrain
Weird spooky house near Thriftea has a story
There is a park lot near the pier area that serves as a landing place and presumably could be used as a date location if you wanted to have a date at the pier
Pier includes boba tea stand and ice cream cone stand
Cannot see sims in/on rides
Woohoo on rides can result in getting banned from the ride for a few days if you get caught

CURVED ROOMS
Basegame update
They have a polygon frame while you are placing the room, then curve when it's placed
The polygon frame has handles on each flat side of the polygon to adjust the shape, which ends up adjusting the curve
Windows and doors are flagged as working on curved walls or not, similar to the wall height flags
It's possible to place windows and doors that look a little bit off even if they don't fully support wall curvature

You can watch various livestreamers of lifestyles and gaming on the computer. Parodies of RL streamers

Can send messages. You don't actually create the text of the messages- you choose from Friendly, Flirty, Funny or Mean message to send. You do get to read the text of the message, both your own and those of others.

Can make posts of different kinds (book review, travel)
Some posts are in your gameplay language and some are in Simlish
You can react to people's posts with like, love etc
You actually gain or lose relationship points through these messages

Social Bunny generates many nag notifications throughout the day to remind you that Social Bunny worthy things happened to you.

Can send no sims, in which case school behaves exactly like it does now. (rabbithole)
Can send a particular sim(s) to focus on them while the other sim(s) is an NPC there.
Can leave school early. When the streamers did this with one teen to take them to the shop, the other teen still at school eventually got a flashing red briefcase and new flashing exclamation point over his head. Not sure why.
Little tasks pop up on the bar as in other active careers, like Be Friendly with a Faculty Member
School events appear on the calendar
T-Pose challenge trend/game - standing in T pose in the hall
Locker options: grab apple, buy football, freshen up, decorate locker, give up locker ownership
Decorations can be kawaii, eco enthusiast, others
Lunch in cafeteria, can order various new foods
You can get in trouble by pranking, using phone in class, skipping class
You can see janitors emptying trash

The football appears to have the same bug as the soccer ball where an Active sim will immediately get a Tense "not enough exercise" moodlet as soon as they start using the ball, even though there are rapid down-arrows on the tense moodlet.
There is a sports-related festival for finding out more about the football team, with booths etc

NPC RELATIONSHIP CHANGES
You can ask other sims about their romantic interests. This can reveal a sim's orientation, including whether a sim is "exploring" or not

Through a specific window, using a specific ladder trellis.
You can also sneak out just through a regular door.

TRENDI
You can use what's in the store (rotates), not all of CAS, to create outfits. Same interface as making an outfit on mannequin or Dine Out waiters. Needs to be a complete outfit with top, bottom, shoes
Some items are from Depop creators, restricted to purchase in the thrift store (can't use in regular CAS)
The outfit has a name, a cost, a hype level, and a style flag like Basics
You can hype your outfits
You can earn money through Trendi
Other teens in the world/school might show up in your created Trendi outfits
Trendi and Social Bunny both generate clout
Outfits you create show up in your inventory. From there you can wear them or sell them on Trendi

And yes Darren- the nag notifications would drive me absolutely bonkers except maybe for one or two characters who would really be into such a thing.
In general I see social media as one giant generator of nag notifications throughout one's entire life and I only use it very minimally
