Horses and cars especially, but most of the smaller things that have been mentioned here also. Horses and cars are at the top of the list, as they're part of the reason I fire up TS3 instead of TS4.
There are only two I can think of and that's bands/solo artists and a superhero pack. Those would be awesome! EA are always coming up with stuff that I didn't know I wanted/needed though.
I'm hoping for some kind of generation pack. I love playing with the same family for many generations. Low key hoping that EA will add an allowance for more than 8 family members in each household. I don't really like using mods, but I sometimes want like 8 family members and a pet xD
Two. I would like a music/bands/ performing arts pack and a Caribbean inspired island/beach pack with resorts, house boats, diving, pirate lore and surfing. Throw in expanded mermaids in a base game update with additional gameplay for them in this pack.
For those who say we already have beaches, no we don’t. We don’t have a modern beach world with modern beach activities. Sulani is about preserving the native culture and land, which I’m 100% for. But now we need the whole TS3 Island Paradise vibe without the routing issues.
I'm not good with numbers but I'm still waiting for a Music/Art related pack, with bands; Freetime, with hobbies and sports deeper explored; a pack with a Medieval art style and maybe royalty or simply monarchy related; and most of all, I'm expecting to be positively surprised by new ideas as I was with Get Together and Eco Lifestyle.
1) Horses
2) Fairies/Alchemy (Just more occults)
3) Culinary Quest from the survey with a Nectorology skill
4) And Generations (Parenthood and HSY are fair flavor, but not enough of an aging entree)
If I am being completely honest, though, a C&D and RoM refresh rank higher, but they aren't technically new big packs.
1. Hotels - far and away what I want most since we're getting body hair in the update. Casinos could be included in this, or just as a separate kit and thus not be as big a pack.
2.Medieval living - as an EP could include horses as a big part of it.
3. Hobbies - thinking of things like music, pottery and glass blowing, exercise/sports/fitness, and something outside, but not gardening as that's already being done. Very much like freetime in otherwords.
I would include Amusement parks as well but given we're getting a ferris wheel in the new pack that's going to be a rabbit hole, I'm thinking that's completely off the table.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.
1. I want a real baby update and a Generations expansion pack, or game packs that each deal with a different age group ( other than Adult and Young adult ).
2. Cars and other transportation with a mechanic career and hobby.
3. Hotels and Casino’s, I’d also like to be able to make a bed and breakfast place.
4. Bands
5. Packs with new active careers and workplaces
6. Amusement Park/Water Park/Zoo
7. Horses
8. Medieval….. including royalty, archery etc.
9, Malls
10. I want another World with a lot of apartments
11. I’d like a hobby pack…. Things like the pottery and glass blowing they were talking about earlier, and a toy making machine. I’d love to see a sewing machine with patterns and a color wheel to customize colors and designs for clothing, maybe even bedspreads for beds and customized rugs.
12. I’d like to see a Castaways pack, something similar to strangerville.
13. I personally would like to see another beach world ( thinking something like the California Coast ), with surfing/boogie boarding/kayaking, and lots of little food places/taffy shop/souvenir/T-shirt/Sweatshirts.
14. Sports pack. Things like Baseball…. Tossing the ball back and forth…. .. exercise bike, juicer, orange tree,….
This is all I can think of off of the top of my head. Some of these things could be combined.
A couple? I still want Fairies and a more broader Generations for more interactions and items for various life stages and families. Maybe a hobbies one as well?
My first big wish is based on a focus -- no, make that a massive focus -- on music. Everything that can be done with and about music in this game, I want it. Unless it's all pop-based. Other people can have that one.
My second wish is... a mystery. That is, I want something to come along that I never even thought of before but is so awesome that once I see it I'd wonder why I never thought of it before.
Honestly, just one or two. Could be combined into one. An "Elementary School" pack for child, and a "High School" pack for teen. For each or both if combined, the option to 'work from home' or 'go to class'.
There is an excellent mod for child to work form home, aka: Homeschooling. But not for teen (as far as I know).
I think going beyond that to have an option to go to the school or work from home would be fun. Like many of the other 'jobs'.
Teens seem to have the least going for them, quite honestly. Even with mods.
Toddlers can be fun, children can be fun. Teens, well, it's basically do homework and go to school, over and over. I will admit I more often than not cheat in a bazillion vacation days so teens can actually do something in my game other than go to the 'rabbit-hole' school all the time.
I want a band expansion pack. Yes, a whole big ole' expansion pack! Because I want so many things involved in it that we've never seen before! Like different genres! So we can have sax and trumpets. So, if you want to read some of what I'd like in it, I will continue down below.
How the Band expansion pack would be:
1.It would be a full expansion pack with 3-4 new CAS styles: grunge, 70's rocker, classic jazz singer, and hip hop (or punk, or new wave, or emo, 80s, but just keep the grunge, 70s rocker, and classic 20s-40s jazz)
highlight CAS items: a Billie Holiday hair flower under hats
more unisex long hair, think Jerry Cantrell or Pearl Jam. (ooh, and Dave Mustaine)
Plain Leather jacket in different colors (no studs no print)
and more swatches, including alligator skin Newsboy hat (70s rock)
if you do emo, have a fitted t-shirt with striped undershirt sleeves.
2. Instruments:
electric guitar (including a flying V or 1 with a lot of stickers on it)
stand-up bass
bass guitar (this is more important. Remember, bass guitars have 4 tuners (knobs), and ppl can just read to see if it is a 4-string bass or 6 string guitar) as a bassist, I am tired of seeing my sims rocking out with someone with a 300 lb wooden behemoth
Drum kit
Possible saxophone and trumpet and flute
3. game play:
Sims can play these instruments "play alone" or "jam with..."
Other new commands will be: "perform with...(perform song with...)
A cool new feature will be the option for solo during "jam with..." and it will work like when a Sim is swimming and can do an additional action like "splash...". So, while the sims are jamming, you can click on the Sim you want to have a solo and they will do the solo. (The game can have like 2 pre-sets per jamming/practice and per song arrangement the game already has. the expansion pack can come up with more genres to preform, too). Every instrument and skill level after 1 can solo. And if the Sims' skill level is high enough (like 3-4) performing a solo gives a new confident/focused moodlet "wicked solo" or whatever you want to call it) and those who heard it can have a happy or energized moodlet ("from hearing wicked solo") or whatever that mood is when Sims hear a genre they like. Hearing a poorly performed solo can have negative moodlet or bored moodlet and the Sim who played it can have the typical Embarrassed moodlet ("lame solo")
Other game play includes, old Sims 3 actions like "ask to join" "Name band" and sims can find gigs at weddings, bars, etc. There can be rabbit hole gigs and in-person gigs. Gigs at the park, the beach.
Maybe a whole new world/neighborhood that has more bars and concert halls for Sim Bands to perform. There can be a coupla residential lots, but maybe it can just be like Magnolia Promenade where it focuses on Public Lots and like 2 empty lots. So, you can add a house if you want or make your own venue. Sims and Sim Bands can perform at a venue whenever you want and play for tips. But you have to be invited to play a gig and get paid the big bucks for that. Maybe after busking publicly, that makes it easier to get invited to play a gig. Oh! and a new festival at this Neighborhood can be like Lalapalooza or Battle of the Bands. The festival has a stage and food stalls and merch stall and busking stations. And you can win the prize just like in Geeks and humour/hijinks festivals. My sims never win those contests, so I don't know how to win. But it's basically the same idea. You can get a prize by performing a song (alone or with band). This festival will be so cool.
Oh! And the houses in the neighborhood can have garages, I know we don't have working cars. But a garage band? Come on.
For those of you made it to the end of this presentation, what would you add or take out? I would add nachos.
There are only two I can think of and that's bands/solo artists and a superhero pack. Those would be awesome! EA are always coming up with stuff that I didn't know I wanted/needed though.
Since Sims has had magic/vampire/werewolves/fairies I would love a superhero pack. Where it can come with a few new super powers, but anyone could be a superhero, including occults. Just build athletic/science/logic up. It can have cool gadgets. And give you gigs like previous bands expansion packs, some are rabbit hole gigs. And some are like being a cop/doctor/scientist in Sims where you have to do stuff and get to do a battle/spar with the villian. Dang, I didn't even think about a superhero pack. I need it now. Costumes as well. Some that are more practical, but don't judge me, I would like some of the costumey ridiculous ones from retro comics. This is a fantasy world after all. How does my sims kick butt in a leotard, tights, and cape? IDK, and Edna Mode better not come for me, either.
Hobbies and Generations. Those are the 2 EP's I am looking forward to. I would also like to see a return of Stuff Packs.
In a hobbies pack, what would it include? Would the devs put martial arts in such a pack? If so, I want it lol.
TS2, in Freetime, has 10 hobby clubs. Each has its own leader (wearing a special outfit), secret clubhouse location, and levels of ability. When a sim reaches enough interest, the leader comes by to give them their membership card. Also, club leaders offer instruction in their specialty. The clubs are:
Arts & Crafts
Cuisine
Film & Literature
Fitness
Games
Music & Dance
Nature
Science
Sports
Tinkering
All of these work off the various skills a sim gets, so the greater number of skills in TS4 should logically lead to more hobby interests/clubs, especially if some skills branch as they do in TS2. For example, there is 1 creativity skill, but it branches into Arts & Crafts and Music and Dance. The game somehow knows which creative activity goes where.
Each club links to 1 or more careers, which helps with advancement if a sim's career & club membership line up.
The new pack looks like it will offer me some opportunities for mischief, especially if I can edit the teachers in CAS. And of course, I WILL build my own high school....one that looks desperately unsafe.
Comments
Pack refreshes in general, too. Would be cool to have a Roaring Heights type of world and carnival/amusement stuff as a side want.

I want them together though and call it Childhood.
And maybe one more but that's a GTW refresh in which adds burglars and updates the retail and doctor careers.
