I'll talk about how to make a Sims 4 fan-made render.

What you need:
SimRipper by CmarNYC and thepancake1 (always latest version)
Any 3D Software (I recommend Blender)

Here's how you do it.

1. Open up SimRipper. Link your Sims 4 Installation Folder, Mods folder and saves folder and click save.
2. Click 'Select' button on right of Save Game File Field and select your save file, find your sims that you want to render and extract your sims.
I recommend extract your sims in single mesh and texture!
3. Your Sims is extracted. Now export to .dae file (since we making a render with poses).
4. Open Blender. Import .dae of your extracted Sims file. And right-click on rig and start posing!
Pro tip: You can use Inverse Kinematic to make pose easier especially on limbs and fingers. And get creative on poses!
5. Switch it to Cycles. Put some material and Sim Texture. (The Sim texture are exported with model) and make some scene.
6. Mess around with lighting to get perfect lighting in your render.
7. After you finish the scene, put it in one frame and render! (Recommend Resolution is 3480x2160)
Tips: Here is a video of how to make render faster (For Blender 2.79 and up): https://youtube.com/watch?v=8gSyEpt4-60&t=2511s

Note: Always use Blender Cycles Engine for best result
You can learn how to use Blender for Beginner on YouTube!

Good luck for your 1st Sims 4 fan-made render!
Cheers! -LilNerdy Simmers
