- Romance GP (more depth please!!) - Witches GP - Tropical Vacation GP (mermaids and ocean swimming please!) - Farming GP (with horses... of course) - Small pets GP - Fame / Celebrity GP - Get to school GP / EP - University EP - Seasons EP - Elder SP
And... just loads more traits, aspirations and careers, oh and likes / dislikes with more activities and things for sims to do... I don’t want much do I...
I would love to have...
- ownable hotels/motels/b&plum
- seasons (including trick or treating, festivals, and easter eggs)
- more playable careers
- the ability to swim in the beach or at a river
- celebrity system
- a babysitting career like in The Sims 3
- a colour wheel including patterns !!
And if i'm being r e a l l y picky, hair that actually grows and needs to get cut from time to time. Don't ask me why, I've just always had that sort of longing since I played the Sims 3. I reckon it would make the game a lot more realistic, but I know it would be quite difficult to create so I don't expect it.
I remember hair and Beard's grow in the sims 2 castaway.
Would love to see it again and that was on ps2.
I want to see body hair again. Miss that from the sims 3.
I want to have the option to build a larger selection of cars(not one 🐸🐸🐸🐸 car)
The sims 3 had such a good selection of course.
Also the option to fill it with fuel at a gas station or it will run out and the car stops, like in the real world.
The option to sell them and gift them to family/friends.
Teach teens to drive again
But older sims have to learn to drive to and can't until doing so.
And can be fined if stopped and you don't have a licence.
Yes garages and drives and decor/items for inside garages you usually have inside them
1. Part-time jobs for adults 2. Work from home jobs 3. More beds and toys for pets 4. Small pets-hamsters, birds, rabbits, turtles… 5. Seasons EP (holidays similar to those in T3 maybe a new meteorologist career) 6. University EP 7. Clubs, field trips and prom for kids and teens 8. Celebrity EP or GP (Film/ Actor career, singer career to go with singing skill, celebrity system…) 9. Hobbies GP? 10. Witches GP 11. Fairies GP 12. Tropical Vacation GP 13. Wintery Vacation GP 14. Teen SP 15. More clothes and hair for males 16. More traits 17. Bigger worlds (25+ lots…) 18. Memories (and a system that monitors how faithful you are/how much you’ve cheated) 19. Firefighters (sims shouldn’t have to put out their own fires all of the time.) and Burglars (to make some drama) 20. Upgraded dating system (make dating profiles online, propose while out having dinner…)

ohh good ideas!!! Yes, thatd be really interesting! And maybe at random they could get into a car wreck (new death?)
Been playing The Sims since 2001. Mother to a beautiful girl.
-seasons
-witches
-university
-tropical beach/resort vacation world
-mountain vacation world
-prom, graduation, and after school activities for child/teen
-funerals and graveyards
-wedding system revamped (ability to ask for hand in marriage, bachelorette/bachelor parties)
-romance system reworked
-more romantic interactions (shower woohoo, slow dancing, etc)
I need a list of CAS/BB items but these are more important for gameplay. I think I just need these to feel more excited about playing certain life stages.
In order for the game to feel complete to me, I think it needs:
- a memory system
- a better attraction system
- a better reaction system
- seasons
- farming/living off the grid
- casinos/hotels
- tropical vacation world
- more careers (not necessarily active)
- a few more emotions (fear, disgust, surprise, envy, guilt, etc.)
Seasons is a MUST and something I'm quite sure they're working on.
The addition of more careers is definitely needed to, and not just your sim leaves the lot careers, but more interactive careers! I like the new vet interactive retail option, but it would be great to have careers like with Get to Work. And you know what would be a good career? One to go with a cars expansion: car mechanic. The job could be about finding and fixing problems as well as decking out the cars to the consumer's specifics (or not to their specifics). The job could maybe start off as a car washer or a gas jockey and build up to cooler options as mentioned.
Firefighter would be another cool interactive career option, running into houses doing your best to extinguish the fires without getting yourself killed. Helping other sims get out, saving them. The career could get more intense as it gets going.
Then for Seasons, there can be kid jobs like selling lemonade on the street on a hot summers day. Raking leaves in autumn. Shoveling snow in Winter. Maybe, mowing the lawn? But those, of course, would be freelance--going to peoples houses, knocking on their door and asking. Speaking about mowing the lawn, wouldn't it be cool if you could have an overgrown lawn?
Another addition would be fame. Fame could include careers like fashion with both runway model and designer options. Movie Star, Singer, others I cannot think of.
I've been doing a lot of thinking about TS4, lately. I've been trying to pin down what I think is missing in the game and what would make it seem more fulfilling to me.
What I've come up with is:
Romance. Romance is a biggy. I would need more romantic interactions, more intimacy, and nicer events such as dates and weddings. Right now, there's not much to do on dates and weddings are, well, they exist. That's a plus, I guess. The base game came with wedding arches and I'm grateful for that.
More delineation between age groups. Parenthood went a long way towards adding something for children and adults. Toddlers took care of the kiddos. Now, there needs to be distinction for the other age groups. In particular, teenagers are woefully underrepresented, as are elders. Provide more age-specific activities and VENUES. Especially, venues for teens, please. We have lot traits already. It's such an oversight to leave out the ability to create lots for certain age groups and to provide activities for those lots. Cruises, shuffle board, bocce, Bingo, Spades, and Bid Whist, anyone? Also, the option for living (and un-living ) grandparents to be the designated baby sitter. It would be awesome for the grandparents to come over to take care of the kids. Or, if the kids could be shipped off to the grandparents sometimes.
Older folks are older. They're not dead!
Create-a-venue This is also a big one for me. I want a ticket booth system so that I can create any venue that I like, and charge for Sims to use the facilities therein. Whatever is on the lot will be attractive to Sims according to trait, not the lot designation. 'Nough said.
Seasons! I need rain, and wind, and sleet and snow. More so, I would like the benefits, as well as the consequences, of those things. I would like all of the activities that go along with the different seasons and the passage of time.
Along with that, it would be nice if there were universal holidays. However, for a change, it would be nice if each region celebrated a holiday all its own. For instance, Windenburg could have an Oktoberfest type of holiday. Brindleton Bay could have a Clam Bake Day where everyone heads to the beaches, digs up clams, and then cooks them up over open fires. It could go on all day and well into the night. If my Sims visit Selvadorada at the right time of year, they could arrive in time for a Carnival or Mardi Gras-type of holiday!
Vacations When my Sims get tired of the same old drag and they just feel like kicking back, they need a place to go. I also need honeymoon destinations, to be honest. I would love tropical and a winter options that include things like lounge chairs, picnic blankets, beach blankets, water polo, scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, boating, snow boarding, skiing, igloos, snowmobiles, ice sculpture contests, exploring ice caves and, perhaps, meeting an honest-to-goodness Yeti (not just a guy in costume).
There is so much still missing from the game. However, these are my bare minimum for me to feel like TS4 has finally arrived. Unfortunately, I haven't seen an inkling of any this stuff, besides Seasons, being in the pipe. Yet, I keep on hoping beyond hope.
Edited to Add: I forgot, I would also like a self-employed career more than anything that EA could think up. I want my Sims to have the ability to choose their own means of making ends meet. Whether they do so by painting, sculpting (hint, hint), temple-raiding, veterinary care, whatever. I simply would like them to behave as if they are gainfully employed instead of basically telling everyone who asks that they are unemployed slackers on the dole.

@Cynna These in particular I've been thinking of myself. 1000% YES. Seasons is a big one, but I especially would love if certain worlds (regular and vacation) had lesser or more intense weather. For example, Oasis Springs would have a lot of dry heat, rarely snow etc. Selvadorada would have a lot of rain if based more so on the Amazon jungle. Any future winter locations would have a lot more snow etc.
I also really would like to have more supernaturals, especially witches. Witches have always been a favorite of mine--in The Sims and in literature. A Hogwarts type school would also be great. I miss Bonehilda too, after seeing the skeletons on the live stream.
More careers, please! Especially agree with the self-employed career.
The ability to swim in the ocean, even if only specifically at a vacation world. I miss the beach and beach activities in general. Though mermaids weren't as developed as other lifestates, I think it'd be cool to have a "hidden location" or quest where you meet one, and maybe even temporarily become one in that world?

As much as I'd love to see more new material, I agree that the game still feels incomplete with all these features from past EPs. Great advocating, guys!
Anyways for the base game, I think our Sims should have to pay a fee (a small one, but still a fee) if we want to travel to other worlds by phone, unless of course, we have our own cars and other methods of transportation!
1. Vacation World: Island Paradise (or a tropical resort) 2. Vacation World: Theme Park 3. Seasons EP (provided we don't see snow in the Jungle Adventures map or other silly flaws) 4. Witches GP, Werewolf GP (fleshed out like in Vampires GP) 5. Bands with instrument possibilities (with more detail than in Sims 3) 6. Robots and other player types 7. Custom map maker (although that would be HARD to do effectively) 8. More fleshed out "desires" of Sims instead of being able to switch aspirations on the fly
@Cynna i loved your ideas abot the create a venue and having the option of having a designated babysitter !! I also think there is a self employment mod too.
@ashcrash19 swimming in the ocean is something I definitely miss too!!!!
@Chicherino if the could patch in travel options a cost the would add soooo much more to the storytelling aspect.
@silentunion having the option to make a map like Create a world would be amazing!!
SIMS WE NEED PLAIN COLORS FOR THE LARGE WINDOWS WITH A HALF MOON TOP. Plain colors for most windows and build mode items. Also more selections for beds. Perhaps more lots in newcrest?
