-An elder-focused GP. We can finally have things such as canes,walkers,bingo games,etc. We'll finally be able to have grandparents and grandchildren be recognized through the family relationship panel.

-An SP about the 1980s. We could have game arcades,glamrock outfits, and other cool things that were popular during the 1980s.
-An SP focused on pastimes and hobbies. We can finally do things like sewing,having model trains,playing tennis,etc.
I'm betting on a Romance Expansion cause Romantic Gardens is now free.
I paid for romantic garden and i am not upset because it's really nice and nice of ea to try to make the gae available for more without a price tag.
I wish they throw more free promotions with the kits, as there are a million of them now and never go on sale. Would be rad if we could choose a kit for free or if they had bundle sales on them.
I predict pet birds, fairies, motorcycles, bands, cars, wildlife /safari pack- (better, after making us get or hopes all up with the animal sanctuary), vacations, and with for rent, cant help but feels empty without multi-functional lots, which I hope comes soon. This is what I feel will come natural to what has been presented and offered in the previous sims games. I feel and hope a lot of this could be a free update, but I hope they dont make all pack, which could have been game packs, expansion packs, due to revenue. So I'm hoping for some game packs because thats the best bang for you buck, and makes the most sense in this economy.
I thought the grim reaper was a joke at the return of stuff pack- stuff packs not dead- some simmers thought.
I don’t mind them giving packs away free. But, It would be nice if they gave all of us that own all the packs and kits a small discount once in awhile.
I’m thinking cars ( mechanic career, and car hobby building ), this coming year, Birds and hopefully other small reptiles and things. Possibly Romance and Romantic likes and dislikes, Hotels, Casino’s, and Honeymoon places. Sims streamers have mentioned tha Jewelry making is coming. I would like that too.
I hope there will be a GP for fairies...but the next GP will be the 13th GP and 13 is not the multiple of 4. According to the previous sequence of new occults, Vampires is the 4th GP, RoM is the 8th and Werewolves is the 12th.

There was a SP for toddlers, I think the team may release a SP / Kit for infants. If the infant stuffs are coming from a SP, the strollers may also included.
I don't know if Death will be a Stuff Pack (Grim Reaper career) or an Expansion with funerals, enhanced ghosts (hopefully Create Ghosts in CAS) with more ways to die, a Grim Reaper career and maybe Zombies? I'm kinda speculating that theme for 2024
Another popular prediction is Romance/Attraction system: I don't know if I'll be into a Romance Pack, not my playstyle at all, but I'm always open for new aspirations, careers and skills (careers were kinda abandonned with the 2023 Expansions)
And finally, some sort of Crafting stuff pack.
I don't think fairies will come in 2024 despite all the hints. I would really love them and I've been waiting forever for fairies to come but I feel like they won't give us fairies next year
I think just having got For Rent at the end of 2023 is exactly why we won't get Hotels in 2024. They'll vary packs more than that. We got Horse Ranch this year too, so I'd say also not another animal pack or heavy new-creature animation pack. And Growing Together in spring, so probably not the Elders pack I really, really want either. 2022 was High School, so I'm going with not the Elementary School pack I really, really want. And Werewolves was 2022 + we had a heavy animation pack in Horse Ranch, so I'm going... not Fairies, though I'd really like them to do an Elf/Fairy-lore related GP.
So going to things we've not seen as much of, I'm going with ... maybe cars? I'm not convinced that's ever happening, though.
Maybe something focusing more on YA/Adult life (vs. High School) outside of family-raising (vs. Growing Together), so that Romance pack @catloverplayer wants might happen? It would fit that age range and be not about their homes or children or jobs, so less like FR or GroT or HR.
Maybe another vacation world/adventure pack? We haven't had one of those for a while. I'd love an Arctic one, if so.

I agree that I think we are due for a vacation pack. Please, please, let it be Africa! I think enough time might have passed for an elementary school. An Infant stuff pack sounds very possible.
I am really hoping for a ballet stuff pack. I think it would be easier to add than a lot of other things. Maybe both ballet and karate could be combined well in a pack, but I would rather have them separate and each of them come with their own downloadable studio.

I think 2023 has been such a mixed year for The Sims 4 and I'm really not sure what to expect from the franchise going into 2024 at this stage....
I am however feeling slightly positive about it, I guess because I'm really (perhaps naively) hopeful that the introduction of competition into the life simulation space will encourage EA to ensure the DLC they're producing offers a top quality experience, both in terms of bugs but also general experience. I also feel that they're going to continue to expand and update the core base game to continue to enable players to play the way they want to.
I have enjoyed the EPs released this year and Home Chef Hustle was a very welcome addition to my game (even if Paranormal Stuff still remains my absolute favourite SP ).
I haven't really played For Rent yet (slightly scared to with all the reports of save damaging bugs), but certainly in terms of Growing Together and Horse Ranch.
Whilst these packs offers aspects that weren't things I personally had at the top of my list I am glad we got them as I know lots of other people wanted them, but I can't help but feel that they're all slightly half baked - so many potential opportunities missed in both packs and there is a heavy reliance on text based experiences...I do appreciate however, particularly with HR, the amount of resource taken to develop the horses, but I think looking in retrospect I would have preferred they be in a game pack as it wouldn't have felt less empty as an overall experience.
For Rent, once I start to use it features, will probably end up being my favourite content release of 2023. I do think it is a game changer in the sense that I can now make all my worlds feel bigger with more households, but even then I am bitterly disappointed we can't have rentals on waterside lots as when this pack was first announced the first thing I wanted to do when I got my hand on the game was to create a waterside grotto type lot for my mermaids to live together...then my dreams were dashed.
I am also super stoked that we got another non-USA based world and Tomarang looks beautiful from what I've seen so far..if a bit empty. I certainly hope we continue to get more non-USA based worlds in 2024, so many other areas of the globe they could tap into.
I love The Sims 4 and I was one of those players that was happy to hear it will continue for years to come and run alongside Project Rene, as I am in no rush to drop it for another entry. I've invested so much money and time into the game as this point and there is such much I have yet to explore in it - I never ended up playing with a lot of The Sims 3 despite owning everything (largely as my PC at the time just couldn't handle it) and I'm not making that mistake again.
I am however also incredibly excited for Life By You and will be purchasing the game in early access - I plan on playing both TS4 and LBY and I am looking forward to seeing how EA adapts once LBY (and the various other life sims due for release) start to become embedded within the gaming community as I am sure there will be a lot of players who might opt to switch to one of the other available options.
So I guess in summary, I'm really looking forward to seeing what EA brings us, particularly as we have covered off so much of what we've had in previous iterations of the game, it's exciting to think now we can really start to delve into themes that have not been explored previously.
In terms of what's at the top of my own personal wish list.....
-Fairies....seriously when are they coming!!!
-Improved Mermaids.....they're my absolute favourite occult and they are in dire need of expansion - I would LOVE a Mermaids GP that brought a mermaid-themed world, with underwater exploration, under-the-sea themed furniture, a wide range of CAS assets, water themed magic etc. - it wouldn't require players to have Island Living although would complement the mermaid features from that pack...EA did this with Vampires in TS3...releasing them in Late Night and then bringing them back with improvements in Supernatural...so they could do this if they really wanted it and I see people asking time and time again for Mermaids to be revisited and given the proper treatment so it would seem the demand is there
-Improved PlantSims...i.e. make them an actual occult life state
-Genies
-Hotel and resorts
-A Royalty system
-Cruise Ships
-Time travel
-Ability to control the worlds sims are able to visit autonomously without the need to rely on mods
-Multi-purpose lots...we can have multiple households living on the same lot now, next we need the ability to have several types of building function on the one lot....can you imagine how amazing this would be for space within our existing worlds!!
-General improvements to existing systems like retail
-Continued cross-pack integration
-Another quest type pack ala Jungle Adventure, StrangerVille and Batuu

This year, there were no game packs, but 3 expansion packs. I'd say that perhaps next year there will be 1-2 game packs and less than 3 expansion packs. Kits won't slow down as there is a new team for stuff packs if I understand it correctly. I don't know how much stuff packs there will be next year, but I'd say 2.
Though next year, some competition will be released. I don't know how will it affect the quality and quantity of DLC next year...
I don't know what they will do but I honestly do want hotels or a travel pack. World Adventures was one of my favorite packs of TS3. I'm pretty open-minded on where they could go but I think there's definitely more that they could do with the travel theme. I'd like an airport or cruises not that I'm sure we'd ever see either. Hotels are so heavily requested that I'm sure they will arrive at some point either this year or next.
It is believable that they might come out with a "Death Pack" with the Grim Reaper and funerals/wills. I could also see the bands or "showtime". I know they added the Copperdale carnival. If they were to add a bigger amusement pack, I'd be up for it. I wouldn't have predicted For Rent so I can't say for certain what they will actually do. I'd expect about 3 major packs though. I could see some kind of "Rags to Riches" pack because that's a popular playstyle.
I think that somewhere around the middle to end of January, we’ll get a roadmap that’ll include the two new kits we already know about. Since we finally got another stuff pack last year, I could see them switching things up & giving us a fairy game pack since it’s been a while since we’ve gotten an occult & a game pack, even though the occult game packs seem to be released on a certain timeline.
I also think that we’ll get less expansion packs than we did this year. I could see one being released later in the year, but what it’ll be, I have no idea. Hotels are probably too similar to apartments & townhouses, but I do think that we’ll see them at some point in the next few years.

I think we’ll have one EP, one GP, one SP and quite a few kits — the two we know about plus several more. I think we’ll have some kind of occult content this year, as we didn’t have any in 2023. Other than that, I can’t even begin to guess at what the themes might be for the packs. I’m pretty sure we’ll get cars in some form or another at some point, but I don’t know if that will be this year.
I couldn't begin. Who would've guessed Star Wars or that Sci fi pack we got with conspiracies?
1. It has long been hinted that we would get cars, so I'm guessing that. Hoping that includes large drivable units, campers, and alternate living in a GP? Cars should be a free update, so they could go GP.
2. Since we have City Living and the new For Rent to draw off of, I'm guessing Hotels as well. A Sims4 theme seems to be to make us pay and then put something out like it so they don't have to draw from many resources. Hotels would be great, but will probably be missing key things that they will put in a stuff pack or something else for us to buy like slot machines and pool items. Since this is already mostly in game via CL and For Rent, they could easily go GP on this.
If you're going to do hotels, give us more slides/jumping boards, a wave machine, more floats, pool balls, a floaty that can hold infant/toddlers, the pool bar(the only bar I like), pool waterfall, ect. and don't be stingy, but give us a bunch. We already have tons of junk to make hotel rooms with and you only need so many couches, beds, ect. The heart bed and tub, the vibrating bed, slot machines, some stand up video game machines. New sexy bathing suits that are unlike what we have now. Bathing suits for infants, toddlers, kids, and more spedoes, shorts, ect. for men.
3. Since they will probably make some type of supernatural, I'm guessing fairies.
4. They haven't done it yet, so thinking Castles, new system(like with Get Famous): King, Queen, ect., Unicorns for real now that we have horses, and dragons. EP The gothic theme voted on ect. kit would go good with a new kingdom.
5. Stuff packs- Swan bed, hammock made from a sitter, bear skin rug for woohoo,
6. What I would like is more exercise equipment and no repeats of what we have at all......... Fitness flyer, stepper, mini trampoline, chin up bar, stationary bike, jump rope, and hand weights.
