The store has been down for a while. Once the store comes online again, I am sure the deal times will have to be adjusted. The last major outage was in January of this year.
I hope it comes back online again soon… and for purely selfish reasons I’m kind of hoping that when it does the times will have changed quite radically, as there are quite a few things coming up that I’d like that are currently at totally useless times for me

Setting a phone alarm for deals that came up outside the normal waking hours (thankfully, this didn't happen too often, but it depended on the day).

Yes, I’ve bought a few things using my tablet, which has been very handy! I’m mostly near my computer all day every day though, so the problematic times for me are really just the ones at night.
When I was actually playing and in a rush to get things, I had my phone set up to purchase from the site. I need to do that again as I am getting closer to finishing my semester and setting up my game.

Greetings Simmers! After years of being otherwise distracted , I have finally installed TS3 on my newest system. (Now several years old!)
I went to download and install all store content following Ciane's method, but the store is down! I see that EA is preparing to mess with their web presence once again. I hope it comes up long enough for me to download AND BACKUP all of my precious purchases!
We all knew this would come one day. I just hope I have time to get everything in order before it is gone for good. After all, even if they release a discounted/free version of the game, I would be greatly surprised if they make the store content easily available to us. Of course, I did say this years ago, so it lasted longer than I might have expected. And, who knows, maybe the store will be around a while longer. I don't know how much revenue it is still generating.
Sadly, I've lost my extensive legacy family saves. They were on my laptop which died. I'd pulled the SSD, but have managed to misplace it! Those things have gotten so tiny over the years. It's like looking for half a stick of gum! Maybe it will turn up sometime. Meanwhile, I will have to create some new Sims and continue exploring game packs one by one. I know there are still hundreds, if not thousands of hours of gameplay that I have yet to experience.
It was only on the second generation, but I had 6 kids and was developing each one into their own households, usually in different neighborhoods, then returning them to their hometown. I did discover a picture of the family tree on Imgur. Apparently I had gotten through half of them. The oldest was actually the result of an alien abduction, so I had raised her family in Lunar Lakes!
And the store is back up. Now I must quickly download all of it!!!

I went to download and install all store content following Ciane's method, but the store is down! I see that EA is preparing to mess with their web presence once again. I hope it comes up long enough for me to download AND BACKUP all of my precious purchases!
We all knew this would come one day. I just hope I have time to get everything in order before it is gone for good. After all, even if they release a discounted/free version of the game, I would be greatly surprised if they make the store content easily available to us. Of course, I did say this years ago, so it lasted longer than I might have expected. And, who knows, maybe the store will be around a while longer. I don't know how much revenue it is still generating.
Sadly, I've lost my extensive legacy family saves. They were on my laptop which died. I'd pulled the SSD, but have managed to misplace it! Those things have gotten so tiny over the years. It's like looking for half a stick of gum! Maybe it will turn up sometime. Meanwhile, I will have to create some new Sims and continue exploring game packs one by one. I know there are still hundreds, if not thousands of hours of gameplay that I have yet to experience.
