    This is actually yesterday's update but I have only just got round to sorting out the screenshots and uploading it.

    First I took a trip over to visit the Michaelson's who are in the same save file as my Aspiration Sim. They decided to have a Science Baby. I tried out the mod that allows you to have a pregnancy with the Science Baby. Celeste successfully had a full three trimester pregnancy and gave birth to daughter Electra.
    Once Electra had aged to an infant, Orion was a child and Atlas was a teen I went back to my Aspiration Sim Jenna Kyleson and her family.

    Teddy and Karl were fast becoming best friends.
    Jenna and Kyle meet Millie's new boyfriend Freddie
    The whole family go out to celebrate Night on the Town. Millie brings a couple of friends and new boyfriend Freddie along for the fun.
    Jenna and Kyle turn the evening into a date night and carry on to the Spice Festival where they find a familiar character working as a Mixologist!
    They finish off the evening with a game of bowls (Jenna won!)
    Jenna takes Teddy for a walk in Gilbert Gardens when they get home
    She gets home in time to read Kai a bedtime story
    Meanwhile Kyle supervises the children doing their homework
    Jenna joins them with her homework

    Hi, I have not played for 2 years since my computer broke. I have replaced the necessary hard drive parts. Did a re install. All my sims and the homes I built are gone. How can I save any new sims and homes I built on the gallery forever so that it is never again lost?

    Welcome back. My two years is a long wait. I'm thankful for my little laptop. Gaming rig gave up the ghost just after Infants and the new EP arrived. Barely got to play when blaamo! I sulked for a day then remembered my laptop could handle the Sims. Also, thankful I had backed up my game the Saturday before Infants dropped. Download your new builds and Sims to your game and then save a copy of your Tray to a flash drive. I'm uncertain there is a forever aspect to the Gallery. I do know the powers that be periodically cull things to make room for more.

    There's nothing wrong with functional builds. Being too detailed can lead to as many headaches as it does beautiful builds. I think what you made looks great!

    I ran into a similar problem when I attempted to remodel the high school. I wanted to make the open area overlooking the lobby bigger, but as soon as I finished the half walls around the opening the game built a floor. I thought no problem, I'll just use the 'hammer' and click on that portion, except when I did it deleted the entire floor on the second floor. Even in the class rooms which looked hilarious with desks and everything just hovering there. I gave up on that build, but eventually I'll go back and give it another go.

    @DreamPrincess
    Looks like Shine and Princess Roddy are having an excellent trip. Rewarding at the very least. Selvadorada is such a fun world.

    @BlueSeaWaves
    Congrats Connie! I know that's just the first of many roles, and you're going to nail all of them! That picture of Aeri hugging Connie hit me right in the feels.😭❤️ Yay! Connie gets to bring Aeri with her!

    @Lady_Earth
    I love your mix of characters from tv shows and older versions of the Sims! There's always a surprising new addition.🙂

    @SERVERFRA
    That's truly a one of a kind save! The ancient world meets the futuristic world. I love it!

    @kerryemmiebeth
    Grim? Tending bar? I might think twice about having that drink.🤣 That picture of Kyle supervising the kids looks so much like an older Jeff Spicoli.

    @GalacticGal : I like the show, too, so I just had to download the family.

    I made an interesting discovery. The desk I placed in the little nook under the stairs was causing issues. Suddenly nobody was able to use the stairs. They would just do their little wave. I was worried it was the desk and chair. I moved the chair, still no one could use the stairs. So I pulled the desk out too. Now everyone could use the stairs. I didn't want to leave that space blank so I tried different desks and everything was fine. So I transferred all the decorations over to the new desk. Here we go again with that issue. The first thing I did was move the little square planter on the left front corner of the desk. Problem solved. That cute wee little plant wouldn't allow my sims to use the stairs. As it turns out, I can't place any decorations on the front edge of the desk.

    1304 screenshots taken for a single chapter and a small extra. Most of the screenshots are probably going to be deleted, but this might be a new record for an update. Flickr is struggling to load the pictures. Lol. 😂🤣

    As soon as they load, I’ll post a teaser before starting the chapter. The teasers have helped me get an early start with selecting pictures, and I think this next chapter will take a moment to write. ✍️ Just a small moment. 😆

    You know, there were more than 1304 screenshots because I already deleted quite a few.

    Rachel and her half-sister Caitlyn have thoroughly enjoyed their time in San Myshuno, but are anticipating moving out soon given that they've both have children. Chloe and Shelby, their respective mothers, are disappointed, of course -- but can hardly judge, since Rachel and Caitlyn are effectively mirroring their mothers' lives at this point -- complete with Rachel earning revenue from simtube (this time, from comedy videos instead of young Chloe's sports analysis). Caitlyn had a set of twins, Amalia and Alan, thereafter followed by another baby, Erin. Rachel, who is now concentrating on reliving her mother's glory days as a starter at Foxbury, has also had a girl, but as she's a little more secretive this roving reporter was not able to determine the child's name. (Please note, this roving reporter is definitely not attributing his brief memory loss to his subject's determination not to thrust her child into the media spotlight.)

    In other news, the mayor bulldozed the rebuild of Copperdale High and built another, and held a press conference to say that it would be open to the young people of SimCity (or at least, greater Pleasantview) this fall. Reporters who arrived said, "Hang on, you've just moved the old elementary school from thirty years ago onto the Copperdale High lot and renovated the interior!", and the mayor took that as an opportunity to praise himself and the city council for repurposing and saving an aging building. "It's better than ever," said he, "With a little gym in the old library, and the second floor altered completely. Now we've got a big library, with a globe even, and a large Creative Space for our budding artists and media specialists -- at least, so long as they are on Good Behavior. No truants or rapscallions upstairs! But we want this to be more than a school, we want it to be a community center, so we've got a nice basketball court and a new swimming pool. I trust, of course, our young people will not try to spy on swimmers from the library windows. There's a changing room in the back that doubles as a sports equipment shed. Students, please remember to return sports equipment that you use." Some of the teens muttered about the swingsets and monkeybars, but these are retained from the old school out of necessity, to qualify for a historical preservation grant.

    The building exterior, modeled after the school in SimCity 3000. I'm quite happy with this so far, but I need to see if there's an option to do chimneys. I've got the fireplaces in place. I'm still pondering on things to put outside.....the one side has the pool, but the other just has a bucket for water balloon fights.

    pHS2duN.jpg

    The second floor, which is entirely optional: it's for study and creation, inspired by my college's conservatory and library, which had soundproof rooms for instrument practice, and a lab dedicated to 3D printing.

    oobeThT.jpg

    The first floor, which reflects that this is my second attempt at a 'minimalist' high school. All the necessary stuff is right down here, and when it goes on the gallery people will only need the base game & high school years to play it. Other exps are needed for some of the 'flavor' stuff, but it's almost all base game + high school stuff. One of the rooms is lib-arts and the other is STEM, and I'm trying to create room for a blue-red rivalry. My favorite bit is the secret door in the principal's office, which leads to a little room with a spy station. I'm currently trying to test it with a teen sim. The attic is largely empty save for a little bit of random clutter.

    Tonight is the first time since playing Sims 4 that I just sat down and built. I did it obessively in The Sims 1 & 2, but at some point I just started using prebuilts. I even put on TS1's build music for the occasion. :)

    Thanks! It was mostly problematic from the outside. I took a different approach with this one. :)
    Good work, the high school is incredibly huge and does take a long time to get from place to place.

    Thank you! I'm hoping the revision works in play. I like its looks so far.

    What happened today… since Barbara has a pristine reputation and the Incredibly Friendly trait, she instantly became good friends with Kyle Kyleson when she introduced herself. Then, when they were back in Henford-on-Bagley, he came round to ask to become best friends! She’s now got three - Sara Scott, Jenna Akiyama and Kyle.

    @Metior_Ice wow, that is a LOT of screenshots! I’ve got no idea how many total screenshots I’ve got in my screenshots folder. Most of them are from saves that no longer exist, but it’s fun to look back at them sometimes.

    @Lucy_Henley It's going to be fun looking back at all the screenshots, but it will take me a while to figure out which ones I'm going to delete. I definitely took way more than I needed to. But, I had a lot of ideas while figuring out the next chapter. Writing the next chapter, I'm almost intimidated by all the screenshots. Will definitely take me a minute to build up the nerve to start writing.

    I usually delete screenshots in my screenshot folder after I upload them to Flickr and finish a chapter. It helps me save space for new screenshots.

    It is very frustrating we can't utilize the space. I have in RL, a small closet underneath to stairs that go down to our finished basement. Very handy to have. I hate empty space. I'm very sorry you had to remove the desk. That was such a great use and a very charming look. We build and learn.

    @Metior_Ice There is a name for someone who takes so many pictures. It's called Shutterbug. ;) I have one in the family and am grateful for her habit. She has caught many a touching moment, and her eldest daughter is following in her footsteps. Between them, they caught the full story of my youngest son's proposal during our Christmas gathering as a family to open gifts. Mariah's face showed it all. Such a good capture.

    For me, I'm not so inclined, but I do find myself taking screenshots in game of something interesting that occurred. Sometimes, they get used, other times, not so much. It will be interesting to see if anyone beats that number. I have my doubts.

    In the end I was able to save the desk and most everything on it. The entire problem was that little plant just to the left of the keyboard. It still amazes me, putting anything no matter how big or small in that spot causes the stairs to not work.😂

    Oh, you are kidding me. Yikes. Thanks for the update. I may give such a try in the future. Note to Self: No small plants on desk. Sheesh. So glad you got it resolved.

    @GalacticGal It's not the size of the object it’s the placement. That desk has two slots on either side of the computer along the front edge. It has four or five slots along the back. The slots at the back make no difference, just the ones at the front. I didn’t try moving that plant over to the slot closest to the wall.🤔 Now I’m curious. I’ll have to try it after work.

    I musts amend my previous update wherein I stated I may be writing things up soon, even if it serves as more of a memory. I won't be doing this. Besides my current state of exhaustion, there is no point in it. Should I show Erik and Kayleigh having the honeymoon I wished for them to have, it would nullify the previous updates. I have no desire to restart the telling of their story. Rather, I won't be updating, (unless it's something on this order) until Erik is up to his tenth Best Song Accolade, should he continue to be nominated, that is. He's currently up for number seven. Yeah, I had to roll back after I repaired the game, hoping this time he'll get nominated without him having to license the same song three times or more. That's when I knew something was wrong with the game again. I really, really, really need to get into the habit of repairing after an update.

    I had been deleting them since release, but I decided to play the Luna and Sullivan family and today Karmine Luna aged up to teenager. She's a lovely and mischievous teen with a hearing impairment and ADHD trait. What a tough Sim to play! Just getting through homework is a full time job but she's doing really well.

    X3CR6dS.png

    When she's feeling rebellious and wants to seem like she's listening but isn't, she turns her hearing aid side to her mother and asks "WOT?" in a snarky teen tone..
