This is very fun! I'm going to try to get on the computer tonight and get both outfits done. :)

Just a quick question. Is there any CC allowed at all? I see that you say that pose player is allowed, which is awesome because I do love my poses. Also, I understand the outfits need to be EA/Store Content.

So, I'm just wanting to be clear that no skins, hair, makeup, accessories, etc are allowed outside of EA/Store Content. I would think we would want this to be fair for all players, though I do love my skins. :) I just need to know so I can take out whatever is necessary before I create outfits and upload them to the exchange. Thanks!

    Comments About Your Outfits:
Skate Attire: This whole outfit was created with Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast for inspiration. It's my favorite Disney movie ever! When I 1st started creating, I didn't have any idea what direction I was going to go..but when I stumbled upon the dress...it just screamed "Make me a beauty!" It features three different shades of pink roses on a backdrop of sun-shiny yellow. I added a pattern in white overlay to mimic sequins or bead work. I paired it with a set of lemon yellow tear drop earrings and topped off the look with an up-do that includes a weave of pink flowers. I felt that having the color of the flowers in the hair blend with the pink color of the roses on the dress caused your eyes to follow the length of the whole outfit giving it movement.

Ballet Attire: When I think of working out and fun paired together I can only think...Dancing! You can have so much fun dancing, that you don't realize that you're really working out..it's truly a win win situation as far as I'm concerned. Thus, dance was the inspiration for this outfit. This outfit was done in pale shades of pink with minor textures/patterns used to keep the delicate and soft appearance. I added white tights as I thought that the pink and white complimented each other very well and did not detract from the rest of the outfit. Elegant and graceful are just two words I would use to describe this look.

The 2 outfits are very nice Vihisha :) Very nice dress thar you have used for the skating outfit, and it looks very nice how you have recoloured it. The 3 different shades of pink that you used for the roses looks very nice, and the pink roses of her hairstyle complement the clothes well. Pretty shade of pink that you used for the ballet outfit, The white tights look nice with the pink of the top and skirt. The pink ballet shoes add a nice touch to the outfit..
    Very nice outfits! :)

Hello lovesstorms! Thank you for your interest in joining, I would be happy to see what you can do! :D

As for CC, the CC not allowed would be any part of the outfit that will be created for my use. (I suppose this would make the non-CC items clothes, shoes and accessories?) Anything the Sim modeling the outfit is wearing that will not be uploaded (such as hair, skins, and makeup) may be CC if you choose. I hope that makes sense! :-)

Best of luck on your entry!!

This makes PERFECT sense! Thanks for taking the time to explain it. I'm so detailed and picky about things, so I appreciate it! :) I made an outfit last night and tried to get her to pose (what a pain). I don't think I like the outfit much, so I'm going to give another go tonight after I get my next chapter up. :)

On a side note: did you know if you try to pose your sim on a frozen lake, but shift+click to "buy on this lot", the lake is no longer frozen? I sure didn't, what a pain! I figured it out, but still. :) At least I know what I'm doing now. I'm VERY excited about this contest! Everyone's outfits look awesome and I hope I can be just as good! :)

I'm sure I will enjoy whatever you come up with. :-) I am very detail-oriented, too, and usually spend forever on things I create in the game! Yes, pose player can be a little finicky to play around with, but fun, too. I didn't know that about the ice turning to water in a lake, how odd! I hope you enjoy working on the rest of your entry and I look forward to seeing your finished creations! :-)

**I could NOT get the pants to upload to the Exchange. I tried TWICE to export them from the game, but neither upload worked. It's possible it will be up in a few days, but from what I've read, the Exchange is obviously flawed and picky at times. For now, the pants have been uploaded to my Mediafire account with the direct link above. These pants are from University Life.

Comments About Your Outfits (ie. Why Did You Choose These Colors, Patterns, Inspiration, Etc.?)

    Elegant Skating Outfit
I wanted something simple yet elegant. My vision of an ice skater is someone who glides across the ice with ease and grace. They need a stylish outfit to show off to the crowd along with their talents as well. Navy blue and silver are some of my favorite colors and together they bring out that classy, elegant look.

    Stunning Fitness Outfit
For the fitness outfit, I went a bit bolder since she needed to look good while sweating. Pink and white together make a stunning combination, yet bold enough that others may not notice the sweat coming down your sim's face. Now, your sim will be able to work out and not worry about the sweat being noticed!

Description: For the Ice skating I chose this outfit because I thought it was unusual and different. I chose the colours because they were bright and I think they worked well together! for the hair I put a little pink and purple to add a little more colour! I tried to make it tropical as it's in contrast with Winter!

For the Fitness outfit I chose the two pieces of clothing because they worked well together. and I also liked the colour. and I chose the hair because it was different!
Also I chose the because it was simple to piece together but it still looked good!

brandi22 - I love this idea so I bookmarked earlier in the week and began working on my entry. I was just about ready to post but I have one little issue which it appears others are having as well. AshleyKayMay and lovesstorms both used the same pant for their workout outfit and neither of them have been able to upload it to the exchange and it comes from University Life. I used the sports bra from University Life and cannot upload it to the exchange either but all the other pieces are working fine. I don't have a mediafire account or any other way to upload the file. I am going to go ahead and post since I put the work in and will keep trying. If anyone has any other suggestions, I am open. Thanks!

BTW - I love everyone's entries. All very nice.

    The Competition Skate Outfit
Her outfit is done in the traditional colors of the USA - red, white and blue. The top of the outfit is beautifully detailed with striking blue and delicate white flowers. The flowing skirt ties it together in vibrant red. The tights have a white fishnet feel giving them a sheer look, however they keep her legs warm while on the ice. The outfit shows well in competition as below during dress rehearsal at her indoor rink.

    Skateoutfitmain.jpg

    Skateposes.jpg

    Workout Outfit
In keeping with the red, white and blue theme she went with a workout bra and a skirt with quick pull on leggings to allow for maximum movement and to simulate the feel of the competition outfit. High top shoes provide maximum support for her workouts. This outfit serves her well while training at her indoor gym as she moves from ballet bar to aerobics, strength training and finally to the ice to practice her routine.

    Workoutoutfit.jpg

    Workoutroutines.jpg

    Comments About Your Outfits
Skate Outfit: As I was searching for a dress, this one immediately reminded me of ice skating competition outfits. Since I was going for team USA, I chose patriotic colors of red, white and blue. I wanted tights and some sort of accessory. I chose the chocker because it seemed appropriate for a skate outfit and wouldn't 'move' while skating. I recolored the tights so they would be seen but not heard. I didn't want them to overpower the dress.

Workout outfit: I was hoping to find something with a skirt for the ice skating practice. When I saw this one from Moonlight Hollow, I just knew that was the one. It paired well with the sports bra from University Life since the bra didn't distract from the skirt. It also shows off her sculpted abs. The high tops were to support her ankles during workouts and simulate ice skates during her ballet sessions.

Oh, wow, more entries!! It's getting late here, but I wanted to stop by and thank you all for entering and putting your best creative foot forward. I have entered a few contests and I know how much time it can take to put together an entry. And I appreciate all of them! :D

I will update the "Entries" list when I next have a minute as I know there are several that have yet to be added at this point.

For those of you having issues with uploading, I have no problem using Mediafire or something similar if the Exchange will not allow you to upload. I am going to make a note in my first post that the Exchange is having some issues uploading University clothing, so contestants may want to avoid that.

Also, for future contestants, I might suggest doing a "test upload" of an outfit that you like before going through all of the work to recolor/re-style it. If it uploads, you can just delete it from your studio, then go back in-game and design it. :)

Hope this helps! Thanks again for new entries, you all are doing an excellent job! :D

Thank you for entering, AudreyFld! It was really nice to see your entry! I'm sorry to hear you're not able to upload some of the clothes from the workout outfits. :( Mediafire is a free account and easy to sign up, so you may consider trying that. There may be other file-sharing sites that you could use as well. If not, I still appreciate your entry and it will be in consideration! :)
