Now that I have Supernatural, I don't think I would want to try to play both it and Seasons. It's overwhelming as it it. Might as well get it out of my system now.
I love Amy Li from the first page. She's very pretty. ♥
One of my favorites sims, and I have still yet to play out her life.
I must be subconsciously be waiting for University, because my most enjoyable round of simming happened when I played Amy and her friends from Teens, through University, sharing that modern house as they started their careers, and eventually separating and starting families.
*cracks door and sneaks in, bringing along a gust of crisp, fall air*
With the release of Seasons in three days and the return of real aliens, I was wondering if you'd be continuing/revamping your Appaloosa Plains Storyline?

I have to figure out what I'm going to do with them.
I wanted my Aliens to have all those powers. So am I going to have to figure out a way to make clones from a true alien and copy my custom ones over them?
This was supposed to be just a simple trial run to experience the seasons while I wait for others to test the waters with their mods. I'm running a vanilla town for now.
It's a good way to learn now things work so I can apply the learnings to my custom creations. That didn't last long however. I couldn't make past Autumn without wanting to put my own park in and putting a festival marker in it.
The further you get into the seasons the more this EP sucks you in. By winter I was, "OMG!"
I started out in summer, which was OK, but I wanted to see Autumn and winter.
Chris found Jamie online and they eventually became a couple.
Fall had arrived by then. Things were brownish.
The park changed to its spooky fest theme.
Look at that fog.
Full moon. I have Supernatural, so I got zombies as well. :P
It's raining without clouds.
Christopher grabbed some pumpkins while at the festival and Jamie carved them up.
She's a surgeon, so no pressure.
Sorry, no pics of all the nice red and gold fall colors. I got caught up in playing.
An umbrella isn't much protection during a serious hail storm.
I could't take it anymore. I had to put in my own park. I made a central park a while back in preparation for Seasons. All I have to do is put in the festival marker and edit for each Season.
I suddenly realized my park was created with Summer in mind and I had to delete all the summer stuff and leave all the items that were considered "common".
And then I learned that trees and shrubs were also considered common and would show up with all the seasons. So goodbye spooky trees and weeds.
But I got it together, and I like it.
I only edited for Fall and Winter. I will do the rest after winter is over.
The fog and the sounds from the haunted house make a big difference.
Less scary during the day.
I'm still not sure about Simfest in the Fall and Winter, but I don't want new proprietors being spawned every spring.
Time for Chris and Jamie to play.
I like that they can win tickets to buy special items.
Jamie won. She's thrilled, inside.
Wasn't there a real life painter-guy with an orange afro on TV?
Spooky.
I like these portraits a lot more than I thought I would.
The Steeles are at a casino I plopped down in the Valley. I want to them to win enough to buy a nice house.
Slow dance.
Oops.
Winter ices up car windows. I wonder what will happen to Fresh Prince cars.
Jamie is pregnant and can't ice skate. She watches Christopher.
This is annoying. Sims keep interrupting my sim to do this and canceling takes a long time.
Winter portrait time.
Christopher, I think it's time to show your girl your skills.
No worries. The life insurance policy is paid up.
So much for that.
They both have a chilled moodlet, but no negative points for it.
I wondered if hot chocolate would make it go away, but nope.
Christopher lost his job when I replaced the school rabbit hole. He has to apply again.
Might as well watch more ice skaters.
I'm going to have to make a nice cafe nearby so sims can warm up. I sent these two to the gym.
My town could use a nice coffeehouse now.
It really started to snow after they went inside.
I am awed.
I turned on the lights at Christopher and Jolina's house, but it really made me realize that I want them in a new home for the winter.
This is the one.
Oh look, Mrs Bunch is a witch. Nice sweater.
I had them stop by to check out the house.
Oh forget it. Motherlode!
This is just a trial run anyway.
Sold!
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah!
Awesome.
It's another full moon so colors are bluish and shimmery.
Finally! I can watch this an not feel jealous of TS2 sims.
I was a little disappointed that my castle roof spires don't cover with snow.
The do get a little dusting, but the ones I have on the roof don't. Probably because I used moveObjects on them.
Time for bed.
Blair Wainwright? What are you doing out here?
Looking for a Unicorn. And a very clever one, hiding up in the tree.
Must be hard to stay up there.
Find a new hiding place.
There ya go.
Oops, another human. Tamera Donner is unicorn spotting too.
Her task is done.
"Alright! Here I am. Take a good look."
"Thanks."
"They won't leave me alone."
This picture has been brought to you by Pets, Supernatural, and Seasons.
Wonderful expansion so far. I hope my saved games run as smooth. :-)
Your Seasons pictures are fantastic! certainly helping with my PePS til tomorrow!! xxx Thank you for sharing the lovely snapshots and your Sims look awesome x
Gosh, I am so fascinated by winter. It's like TS2 nostalgia for Seasons. It's funny playing this EP and thinking back on the naysayers who were saying Winter wasn't even possible in TS3.
I'm watching my Sim couple zip through the streets in a snow storm without hardly any lag.
Coral Steele
I gave her the Loves the Heat trait, since she was born in winter.
I don't think Vita Alto should be doing anything to get Grim's attention at her age.
Yes! I'm so excited. Winter's much beautiful than I expected. I cant wait for this expansion! I've been in a rut with Sims, and really haven't been in the mood to play, but now I wish I would have pre-ordered it.
I've been an avid follower of yours for quite some time. I don't *always* post but I religiously follow all of your threads. I'm really interested in everything you do and I love the condition of your screenshots and your overall gameplay.
With that being said, I'm looking to invest in a computer. I was hoping you'd be able to give me the specs of your computer so I can get one similar to yours.
I know I'm asking a lot but I really hope you'll lend a hand here.
Could you let me know how much ram you have, what graphics card, what video card, what operating system, and any other useful information you can provide.
I hope I'm not asking too much and you're able to oblige.
Happy Simming, CK. Great work on all of your threads.
Hey CK.
With that being said, I'm looking to invest in a computer. I was hoping you'd be able to give me the specs of your computer so I can get one similar to yours
No problem.
I built mine about 6 months before The Sims 3 came out.
-Windows Vista 64-bit
-AMD 3.0 GHz Quad core 64-bit CPU
-8 GBs of RAM
-Nvidia GTX 570 card by EVGA
I cranked up the Anisotropic Filtering setting in the Nvidia control panel to get crisps textures.
I want to build a new one, but I will probably go with an Intel i5 350 CPU if I do. I may just try another upgrade for my current computer by getting a Solid State Drive. (SSD)
UPDATE: 11/23/14
I built it.
-Windows 8.1 64-bit
-Intel Core i5-4670k 3.40 GHz
-16 GBs of RAM
-Nvidia GTX 780 card by EVGA 3 GBs Video RAM
-500 GB SSD / 1TB HDD
I was wondering if you would mind putting you're remake of Sunset Valley's park on the exchange? I would really appreciate it, because I'm sure your's is more satisfying and I'm not really sure how to work with the markers

Fantastic! I will look into this! You're amazing.
I have found a rather amazing fix in the meantime for the errors/glitching/lagging/saving problems, until I decide what type of computer I want.
I'm bringing the rest of my Seasons Trial postings over to this thread for archiving. Spring
Coral is now a child and another is on the way.
I got the Greenhouse from the store, but be warned. It does not keep out the weather well since the glass roof is just a decoration and not a roof. You have to play tricks with ceiling tiles to keep the weather out.
The first day of spring and all the snow is gone.
I had to fix my park since those silly ghost gnomes were great for fall, but was attracting ghosts to the park in the winter.
If this had been perfected and added to Seasons...just wow. I have to be honest here. I consider this a part of Seasons and the EP cost me 57 dollars. :P I just had to do some tweaking to make it work.
Yes, horse.
It's a house.
Making Coral run a needless distance to the bus
Unnecessary.
And Jamie decided to walk to the concession store.
So slow while pregnant.
The Spring Festival looks more lively than the others to me.
Kissing Booths
Try the love tester.
Well, yeah.
Coral will hunt for eggs.
I know. That was your egg.
Let's try the kissing booths.
You just made his day, Jamie.
She doesn't seem thrilled.
A quick peck.
Oh whoa! Hold on there, slick.
Someone needs a tongue lashing for...tongue lashing.
More eggs.
Since this isn't a career rabbit hole, I shouldn't have any trouble. I hope.
They just had a family tour.
Good thing, it started raining heavily.
One more season left before the testing of my park is complete.
I hven't yet played through spring in my game, but when I do, I don't think I'll send my married couple to the kissing booths
thanks for the pictures, and your builds look amazing!
They don't seem to mind, but Christopher put just a little too much spin on that kiss. I thought Jamie shouldn't put up with it. :-)
I want some Alien gameplay, so I put the hurry on Jamie's friendship with Faon Thobanob.
I love those friendship elixirs.
I found out that Faon was an elder on the brink of dying of old age. I rushed and found an death flower and a couple of life fruits. And then I went to the magic shop to see if I could buy a youth potion. No luck.
Boosting brainpower
Not what you see in your average driveway.
Oh heck. I'm gonna do what I really want to do.
I went into CAS and made her over in the form of one of my favorite alien sims that I made for the Lunar Lakes set.
Geewii! She's an Alien/Human hybrid.
And now she has Alien powers!
I think Jamie needs a bio boost.
Ha!
Geewii's back, better than ever.
Geewii doesn't need to sleep and doesn't have much to do at night, so I sent her to mess with one of the locals.
He didn't care to be probed, or was simply being grumpy.
A space rock happened to be in front of the bookstore.
A screwdriver? You would think they would have something like a sonic screwdriver.
OK. She broke it while trying to upgrade it, so now she's repairing it. Now this is what I expected. Let's see The Doctor do that.
Brain power boosting.
Who made a cheese plate?
Was it you?
Strange.
Time to age up Benjamin.
Better get a baby sitter.
"I wonder what planet she is from."
First time trying the face painting booth.
She wanted a tiger face. That is not a tiger face.
Let's try again.
What?
Sorry. That cost 100 Simoleons. You are wearing that face.
LazyGamer Reviews inspired me to change the dance floor pattern.
"Humans put wheels on their feet. Why didn't we think of that?"
Uh oh, I forgot about the full moon.
I don't think I have ever seen a zombie bite anyone in my game.
Nope, not much of a threat.
But they will kill a plant.
I noticed I could abduct a townie. I gotta try that. Geewii is bored anyway.
I love the way this thing just zips off.
Tom Wolff is at the casino. I will be doing Morgana Wolff a favor.
She brings him back to the house.
She is much too nice. She explains that it was just a prank. :P
Tom still isn't thrilled about it.
Now that is some serious Bio-Drain powers.
I hope there is more you can do with abducting sims. If all they do is get mad and leave, there isn't much point to it after you've seen it a couple of times.
Dun dun dunnnnnnn.
Somehow I'd managed to forget to make them pay their bills.
Sorry about that Christopher.
"But the check is in the mail."
"Yeah, people say that a lot."
"Noooo...not my clock."
That wasn't so bad.
Not a bid deal anyway because it's moving day. It's also the first day of summer. I want them to spend fall and winter in a new house. Plus that house is getting a bit cramped.
They aren't far away from the old house.
They are really angry about that clock.
It's not like the thing actually chimed and made pleasant ticking sounds, or had to be wound up with a key like the cool TS2 grandfather clock. Now that was a clock.
Oh cheer up, the neighbors didn't noticed your stuff being repossessed.
And you have a bigger house.
On of the reasons why I like the Supernatural rocking chair.
Hmm...I think I will need to move that consignment store. It's messing up their view.
Another reasons to move: I want them to have a swimming pool. I will need to move the playground.
Geewii's space ship gets the organic treatment.
I think there is a little reptilian cross-pollination in that grey. I wish I could change the glow color.
I'm not done with the summer edit of my park, but I sent the Steel family ahead anyway to try things out. I need to steal EA's rugs to detail out my soccer court.
The protestors are out.
Don't mess with the internet. That's right.
I didn't expect Christopher to take Geewii's space ship.
This gets you where you are going in a jiffy.
Father/ Son time.
It's not hot enough to enjoy these, but I think my sims will take advantage of them when the temperature gets hot.
I think I'll skip this contest. I don't want to risk a death.
I need to do something about this too.
Oh, let the kid score one.
Turn your back and the go do what you don't want them to. They aren't even all that hungry.
Fine. It's your funeral. Geewii has a death flower though.
Wow, Jamie! The woman has a bottomless stomach.
Of course you're board. You stomped the competition.
And now she's just rubbing it in with her whistling.
Is there a second place prize? If not, this contest should end after the first sim finishes. Time is a wasting here.
There are no other teens here, so Coral is bored out of her mind. It's Sunday. Where are all the kids and teens? Too many adults among the handful of sims there.
"What's the matter, sport"
"I don't wanna play anymore. I never win."
At least he got some fun in.
It's starting to rain. Good time to get a family portrait.
Is there an indestructible umbrella in the game. I'm getting tired of these fragile things. :P
This just might become the main family vehicle.
I had to leave all her old plants. The new greenhouse is a little bigger.
I'll find out how it performs in winter later on. Oh wait, they do have a weather machine. I can test it.
Invasion!
You may have noticed that I haven't covered any holiday parities. I'm saving them for when I play my other saved neighborhoods. I don't want to blow through all of Seasons' features so quickly. I'm mainly concentrating on making my festival park and I wanted to know if I could give the game's aliens the look of aliens I made for Lunar Lakes.
Coral read Ben a bedtime story on her own.
I was busy making Geewii upgrade her ship for space travel.
She worked through the night.
I noticed she can call up a storm.
Oh..snow. I was expecting rain.
Cool I can check out how this greenhouse works with snow.
Snowflakes inside, but it doesn't accumulate.
And my plants don't go dormant. A true winter season will be the real test.
Pretty in winter.
But let's get rid of it. This is summer.
Mortimer Goth is not amused.
Plants still doing OK.
I had let Geewii space travel, but it was bit boring. She disappears and you read about it. It's like the time machine. Hopefully interesting things will happen that impact game play in some way. I'm having her upgrade for lasers now.
This happened when she went to check her mail.
Going into buy mode to move it fixes it.
Everyone is at work or school, so she gets to chill out in the pool.
First simfest in my park. Let's check it out.
Not much of a show, but she claps politely.
The show could use some fireworks.
Really stylish there, Mortimer.
UFO?
Alien Invasion--run for your lives.
Well, if you are going to stand there and wait for it...
The acrobat is not happy.
Run humans, run.
Alright, that's enough. Maybe there is an ultimate climax, but this is Geewii's style.
She benevolent, not malevolent.
I hope they clean it up. They have to work the concession stands.
I copied EA's rugs for my soccer court.
The overlap isn't working well for me. They look great from above, but look misaligned from the side.
Ben is getting in some practice after school.
Refreshment break.
He still has homework. I'd better get him home.
I think I'll have them try the beach on the weekend.
Prom Queen
I had to go back and edit the park's Spring set up. I thought I could get away with the Arboretum rabbit hole since it wasn't a career rabbit hole. But the rabbit hole tag was showing up in summer despite the fact that the Arboretum wasn't visible.
So I put in the Nubb game and horseshoes.
I explored another one of Geewii's talents. She can increase the value of collectables by transmuting them.
That drained what remained of her brain power.
She prefers to rebuild it on the pool lounger.
I totally forgot about teens and prom. Coral's limo is outside to pick her up.
Oh no, you are not going to your prom like that.
Better. It's good that she's a teen while it's summer. I wonder if there are winter proms? A teen in winter shouldn't miss out on prom.
It's raining on her prom night.
I don't think she cares.
Looking at the other students, I didn't need to bother picking out an outfit.
Oh, that's right, full moon tonight.
Zombies. :P
Coral was voted prom queen, but she also got in a fight and was rejected for a dance.
A bittersweet night for Coral.
She was on her way home when she suddenly stopped.
Someone wanted to speak to her.
This guy came lurking from around the building's corner.
And a zombie popped up.
This might be interesting.
I don't know what he said to her, but she gave him the brush-off.
"Eww...get away from me."
"Eww...again."
"So...how you doin'?"
"Eww."
"Apparently they don't eat at the prom."
I didn't know these could be repaired.
Geewii does quick repairs.
Great.
Thank goodness they can be upgraded to be unbreakable. They can also be upgraded to glow.

I've been sucked in to playing Supernatural. I have a story thread going on in that fourm.

The festival is over. Time to go home.
Another alien visitor.
Gotta file a report on human domestic life.
The irony of an alien brain-draining a zombie.
She got your brain.
But first Coral has a birthday celebration.
A lot of Jamie in there, I think.
Another birthday celebration.
Cool. Family outings will be easier now.
I'm in no rush though.
The pool is in. Bring on the heat.
Oh well, the posting continues.
