It doesn't take very long before they expand the family further. This time through an adoption agency, which brings them a beautiful little girl named Anna. They've renovated and furnished the whole first floor of the barn now, and are very happy to have a much bigger living room with space for many toys.
They have built a staircase going up to the second floor, but there is nothing there yet. They need more money first!
Fridtjof and Jonatan have the toddlers in their grandparents' care for the weekend to go treasure hunting in Selvadorada. It's been a while since last time, and they've sold most of their artifacts from last time.
The jungle still has its unexpected unpleasantness, but they still love staying there.
Mira is still struggling with her self esteem and has not been able to get a new job yet. Karim the butler is very understanding and always has time to talk to her.
And since she's hanging around all day not doing much of anything, they soon become close.
They start having secret meetings in dark corners around the house.
She knows she's not in love with him, she's just so desperate for affection.
The fact that she has a secret from her family, and it's happening right under their noses, gives her a strange new confidence.
But something is not right.
Mira finds out that she's pregnant, and realizes she can't keep it to herself. She bursts and tells Kimi everything, and Kimi is not pleased to hear it.
It's not easy being Mira. She's disappointed and worried her parents yet again.
She's quickly growing bigger, and is trying to come to terms with the situation. No matter how rich her parents are and how comfortable her living arrangements, it's not ideal for her to have another unplanned child who will never get to know their father.
Lennart is struggling too. He's excited about getting a sibling, but he senses the bad vibe in the house and feels confused. He keeps to his room a lot, where he loves to draw.
But his grandmothers take the time to console and prepare him.
But as she's growing more, Mira is starting to feel excited and coming to terms with the fact that she's raising a new child without a father. She's looking forward to meet the new little bugger! And so does Kimi.
Kimi is older now too, but still an active painter and yogi.
Tara and Lennart have been getting along great lately and Lennart has a new found passion for singing. He loves singing silly karaoke tunes with his grandmother.
Tara is assisting Kimi with a new city mural piece on the art balcony while they're waiting for the new baby to come.
A new child is born! It's a boy, and his name is Jesper Selnes.
Grandma Kimi is completely in love.
One can't say the same thing about Lennart yet. He will have to take some time to get used to the role as big brother.
But then something happens that will be much more difficult to live with. Mira has been struggling with her emotional control ever since her teens, and it doesn't take much to tip her off the edge. After having just a small fight with Tara one day, her system breaks down in rage and she's not able to return to her normal self. This results in her death.
(In the confusion of it all I didn't get around to taking a lot of pictures)
Their life is turned completely upside down. This changes everything. Kimi and Tara can take care of the boys now, but they are both elders - which means the boys will probably be without caregivers before they are fully grown up. The penthouse was already getting too big for the two old ladies, and now that don't really want to live there after what's happened. So they decide to sell it and buy a smaller apartment in Uptown and move there with now teen Lennart and toddler Jesper. The sale leaves a lot of extra money that the boys will inherit.
A lot of responsibility will lie on Lennart to take care of his little brother in the future.
The new apartment is spacious and has a similar open design as the main area of the penthouse did, with the kitchen in the heart of it.
Here they will hopefully be able to take good care of each other.
Tara and Kimi have very different ways of coping with the loss of their only child. Tara buries herself in work and is hardly ever home, while Kimi devotes herself completely to the family and has her full attention directed towards her grandchildren. She stays home with Jesper most days.
She also continues with her yoga in their new gym room.
Tara has been getting back into guitar playing, so she and Lennart can practice music together.
Kimi has a beef with their next door neighbor, Diego Lobo. He's incredibly rude and doesn't care about the fact that there are small children living next to him now.
Lennart doesn't care about his grandmothers' policy not to give the dogs food from their plates.
The last thing Pernille did in her happy dog life was splashing cheerfully in a water puddle made by the broken kitchen sink. Then her elderly heart suddenly stopped.
The family will miss her dearly.
The children are devastated, having learned to love Pernille as a family member.
But Jonatan is having the hardest time of all. Pernille has been a loyal companion to him since his early teens and joined him on countless camping adventures.

Not all the insects want to cooperate.
The toddlers are having a good time, but it's tiring to travel in unfamiliar places. Luckily, camping chairs seem to be a good place to nap.
The evenings are so peaceful out here.
He catches a lot of insects, some he has never seen before. He catches quite a lot of rare fish as well.
The children just love playing outside. It looks like Anna has already taken an interest in gardening.
They are totally used to each other now and have become good friends.
They like the same bed time stories, so evenings are nice and peaceful.

The jungle still has its unexpected unpleasantness, but they still love staying there.
This one has a clear pool they can enjoy in a break.
They find quite a few treasures and valuables.
And they stay to dig for more artifacts as long as they can before they have to head home.
Now he can be an even better and more responsible big brother to Anna.
It's also important to stay in shape for more adventures.
Grandmother Tara has become an elder.
She is still very busy in her PR job, and has no intention of retiring any time soon.
But of course she has time to enjoy her penthouse view with her wife.
And since she's hanging around all day not doing much of anything, they soon become close.

He's trying to cheer up Sigurd too. Let's spend the day in the park!
So they aim to spend the whole Saturday outside, and Sigurd meets some new friends.
Anna has a great time too, and Jonatan is smiling for the first time in days.
