Wild plants not growing

I can't tell if this is a bug or just a poorly thought out feature, but none of the wild plants in my game seem to be growing. I went to the lots to spawn them and figured if I came back in a few days they might be ready to harvest, but they haven't grown at all, and it's not because they just need more time because there are things my sim has grown to harvest at home that aren't growing in the wild. Help?

I have had this happen a few times. So go to the Spice festival and harvest or buy them then plant.

@Bluebeard45 Unfortunately the ones I want I can't buy seeds for. Does the spice festival sell everything? I'm looking for some of everything, fruit, veg, herbs and flowers.

Hello
Your sim needs to spend time in the area where the plants are growing. Try having your sim spend more time in the neighbourhood where they are growing and they will soon then grow and be available to harvest.
You could also take a cutting of them and then graft them to grow at your own home.

@rosemow Do they need to stay there the entire time the plant needs to grow? Or will the plant grow while my sim is off the lot?

Also, thanks for the cutting suggestion - will do that if I can't get the plants to grow

Your sim needs to be actively in the neighbourhood for the plants to grow. When your sims are there, they will be growing,

Rose is right if you want to wait. But across from museum that is located in the city is a produce dealer. Also the festival produce is free but may take a few trips to find what your looking for but you get free food. Also Granite Falls at the ranger station sells produce. Happy Gardening.

Since the update and seasons, I cannot harvest at the spice or romance festival like we used to be able to, the plants never develop harvestables during the festivals like they used to. I understand the "out of season" ones wouldn't but even the in-season plants don't develop in time,

I can't get my sim to plant any plants even if it is the right season. Example: I bought summer plants and when I went to plant it said that it was to cold. I am in the summer season in game. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
