WOW!! I'm speechless I absolutely love the color schemes used in those pics. Oh and I do have the gold version of Aurora Skies so no worries. I love what I've seen so far. That living room and dining room are just goregeous!! My Sims will love living there I'm eager for more
Oh yay, so glad you like it so far. I'm also glad that you have the gold version, because I was hoping I wouldn't have to redo some rooms if you hadn't, lol.
On another note, do you know where I might be able to find this rug? (posted threads...no answers yet) I want it for my game but...im stumped on where to find it (the one pictured is a recolor, I'm looking for the original)
@ElijahsBabyGurl9 , glad you are liking it. One small crimp in fulfilling your requests. You had asked for the fruit plants from Bohemian Garden. Well, when I went to do the garden, I couldn't find any of those plants and thought that EA was making more stuff from my game disappear (which happens to me from time to time where I have redownload things)....soon discovered that the reason I couldn't find them is I don't own them, lol. I had forgotten that I hadn't bought the premium content from the Bohemian set, but I have all the other objects. Sorry about that, so I put some plants in and I guess you can just pull those up and replace with the ones you want.
Thanks for answering her @romagi1. It didn't look familiar to me and now I know why, I don't have Midnight Hollow, lol.
Thats okay Sandy. My Sims will be able to plant the ones from the Bohemian set when I get the house its not a problem thank you for placing some plants there. If needed you could always place the grapes from Champs Les Sims France (WA) in the garden. Lately Akamus has become very proficient in making Wines so the grapes would benefit him greatly. I am looking forward to getting the house ^_^ when its completed
@ElijahsBabyGurl9, I have your home ready, I hope you like. As you requested, I did the home in a lot of blues, browns and taupe colors along with the geometric patterns throughout. For the corner lot, you'll need to place this at 37 Sulphur Springs Rd in Aurora Skies.
Just a few little FYI's:
*There are two window seat areas - the one in the LR is usable as they have the "poufs" hidden inside, so all you have to do is click on the exposed pouf area to use. The one in the breakfast nook is just for looks, but you could always hide the poufs in there as well.
*Since you mentioned that your sim is into rabbits and foxes, I decorated the gender neutral bedroom/nursery in that theme (although patterns and decor objects were sparse in this theme, so this was about it, lol).
*And I did the music room in the black, red and white color scheme to appease your sim's recent like of this color scheme, lol.
*3 of the 4 other bedrooms are kid themed, but one of the bedrooms might be good for a teen girl when one of your kids grows up....if not, you can always take out the teen related items to make it a guest room. I couldn't resist doing a room in black, white and gold.
Wow Sandy, this lot is amazing. You truly are the queen of interior design. Love so much about the interior and exterior. You turned an intimidating house plan into a beautiful home and the landscaping sets it off so well. Just went through the pics and am amazed at the detail. Such an eye for patterns and cool touches. Heading off now to rec and download. Super job

LOL, Ditto what Paula said! Could not say it any better! She took the words from my mouth! I already knew you are the master of interior but WOW that landscaping and the colors you used are Gorgeous!

Aww, thanks so much Paula! And thanks again for helping me with that gargantuous roof! And I appreciate all of your nice comments.

Thank Rox! I'm glad you like it so much, especially the landscaping, since that is not my strong suit.
Hi @winterbaby20 . . . I have finished your request for your black and silver themed modern restaurant. Please see the DNA page for the download link and pictures.
@Sandraelle thank you. I love it. I'm going to write a business dinner chapter with it
@winterbaby20 , You're very welcome, I enjoyed building it for you and I'm glad that you like it. I would love to read your chapter about the business dinner. Have fun with it.
ooh squeals with delight thank you so much for taking my request it is much appreciated
I love the Island paradise vibrant tropical Caribbean look but because I am a terrible builder nothing I have tried to do myself actually works or looks in theme and I really do not like that ugly EA tower sticking up and able to be seen from virtually all over the island. I like the area where sparkling sands is situated and the way it sort of naturally flows towards the public beach area and this is something I would like to keep and make it appear like the beach is a natural extension of the resort even though it isn't.
So that said I would like the resort towers defo underground and out of the way and possibly the more expensive accommodation dotted around the lot giving it a holiday hut kind of feel..instead of all being together? I would also like the lot to be fairly low to the ground not too many storey's high as I don't think that looks right in that location either. I am really struggling with what I mean by hut feel as that word conjures up all those lovely sunlit tides thatched roof types but honestly I do not think they entirely fit in properly in IP either so I am going to post a couple of pics with all the vibrant colors I think IP deserves then leave it up to your creativity I am not sure about VIP huts maybe 5? whenever I send my sims to book the VIP rooms in resorts no other sims are ever in the other VIP rooms much not sure if that's a bug.. they also do not need their own eating area in a VIP hut as I like my sims to sleep and possibly watch a little TV in a VIP room but not be cooking for themselves I prefer they always eat out.
I am all for multi lots in this sort of situation (as in RL-)
nightclub, bar restaurant.. maybe all in one lot? if it could be fitted in casino, karaoke, arcade so sims can visit and have several things to do in one space, table tennis, pool table, darts ( I think this may have to be 2 areas-)
swimming pool with outside bar surf up machine, hot tubs and spa area with sauna and massage table..
food stands, fire pit, fire walk, Bohemian canopy..
I would like the food area for the resort tables/food to be a reasonable size as I like to provide my sims with every sort of food so need enough room for the buffet tables.
I would love a little ice cream area as well possibly with a coffee machine just because I love ice cream shops
golf would be lovely perhaps facing the public beach views?
I am not sure about a gym equipment...they are supposed to be on holiday after all
I fear I have given you an impossible task and if so I apologize as I have no idea what it is to design and build anything the following pic is the sort of colors and style I think looks in keeping with IP and the link below that has further pics of builds in those me sorts of colors..
@SPARKY1922 , thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I'm glad you chose that style, as that is what I was hoping you'd pick, lol.
So I'm gathering that this should be a casual, laid back type of resort, no glitz and glamour, correct?
Is it ok to put the nightclub, bar, restaurant, casino, arcades/games/karaoke in main building (maybe split between the 2 levels), and maybe the spa area in a separate bldg? I'm worried I'll run out of room for the pools, hot tubs, food stands, ice cream and coffee booths, fire walk, fire pit, golf, etc, by having too many separate bldgs spread around the lot. And I'll need room to put a row of huts.
-- Are you ok with the bldgs having the white metal roof? I wish I could use multiple color roofs, but since the game doesn't allow it, I thought white would go with all the colors.
I think that's it for now.
P.S. And no, this is not impossible, will just require some planning on my part, lol. I look forward to creating it for you. And I agree, let's skip the gym...who wants to work out when they're on vacay? hehe
I am truly relieved I have not made it so difficult it was not doable as I have been fretting about that on and off all day-) I am pleased you like the style because believe me I have searched for a very long time for something with this sort of theme and found nothing so I believe your creation really will be one of a kind
No real glitz more natural and vivid but defo not el cheapo-) A place that's unique quite expensive appealing to laid back good time sims This is making me want to go on holiday right now-)
I like the idea of the nightclub, bar, restaurant, casino, arcades/games/karaoke in main building and spa area elsewhere and will leave location to your creative skills..
paradise retreat canopy bed is fine for the VIP rooms they always say sim vacation-)
yes we will forget about a gym there's no room left anyway by the sounds of it-)
Parking perhaps enough room for 2 cars at the front/reception area of the lot but if you run out of room and it won't bother me at all not having any.
Just checking as well that the main tower part will be underground yes?
Lastly I forgot about roof colors so white will be fine I am assuming if I choose some CC colors afterwards I will be able to change them? or do you know any cc creators that already do something that may be usable towards the theme?
I just want to thank you again for taking this project on for me it is very much appreciated and I am excited that finally my favorite resort spot in IP is going to have something special that it deserves
@SPARKY1922 , Oh no, sorry you have been fretting! And you're very welcome, this project should be a fun one.
I will try to include some parking, 2 spaces shouldn't take up too much room.
If you have another choice for roof colors, I can do that as well and just adapt my bldg colors to it. Like the turquoise metal roof or the seafoam green tiled roof, both from IP. Sorry, I don't know any CC creators, but if you find some CC roof patterns, you should definitely be able to change that later.
And yes, the resort towers will reside underground. Just trying to figure out if I want the main bldg to be on a foundation or just flat, as that will determine my stairs down to the basement, lol. On a foundation with a basement, you have to place the stairs in the basement first, before laying your foundation, so planning is very important! :-) Decisions, decisions.... lol

possibly a little row of VIP huts?

Please feel free to tell me I am asking the impossible and to rethink

Some other questions:
-- Do you need any parking spaces?
-- Do you like the paradise retreat canopy bed that came with Sunlit Tides? Was thinking of using that bed in the VIP huts. Or would you prefer the wicker bed from the Sun, Surf and Sand Island Villa set? (Or something else?)

no worries re the roof colors whatever you think looks best is fine I prefer to try and keep my builds CC free anyway...
As for the resort towers and and stairs to basement anything that stops sims foot stomping to go anywhere I assume will be fine
