townie ongoing aging issue

Among the 1000s of other bugs that city living has brought to my game - one is to do with the NPC. I have married a couple now and each one cannot age up. They are always one day away and never have a full bar - you can't age them with cake - i have to keep changing it through CAS and killing them seems to be impossible.

Anyone else have this issue?

Do you use mods? If so, have you tried taking out your mods folder and then loading your game without your mods? See if you still have the same issue. Patches break some mods and it is possible you have one that needs updating.

If you don't use mods, then perhaps you need to repair your game. Right click on the icon in Origin and select Repair.

No Mods, No CC and did a repair and it actually crashed after 45 minutes of game plan

Hello
The sims may have a hidden trait that stops them from aging.
The Weirdo, CityRepair and StatueBusker hidden traits prevent aging.
Try doing this. Play as the sim. Then type into the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Press enter
Then type in
traits.remove_trait isWeirdo
Press enter

See if that helps.
isWeirdo can be replaced in the removal cheat with isCityRepair or isStatueBusker if that is the hidden trait that they have.
