Hi all.
This is probably such a dumb question, but my paranoid self won't stop worrying about it.
I refuse to let mods close to my desktop Mac, not gonna happen, no way. I have a different computer I plan to mod on in the future, which is Windows based.
I have TS4 on my desktop, running through Origin, of course. So here's my question: if I do download a mod, a faulty mod at that, using the same Origin account as that on my Mac on the Windows, can any viruses be transmitted?
I'm seriously telling myself that this is in no way possible; the mod folders are completely separate and I'm being irrational.
Can someone confirm that this isn't possible and that I'm just crazy? (lolol)
Thank you in advance!

You can’t download mods/cc through origin. You need to go to the individual cc sites and download the mods/cc there. The mods/cc then go into the mods folder. Cc doesn’t transfer through the Gallery.
The mods folder is not connected with Origin at all.
You are only logging into an origin account, not physical files.
You are not crazy at all!

Ahh thank you so much! My experience with CC in the past had been quite negative, that being I used fraudulent sites. Now, I only plan to download CC that is hosted on SimsFileShare, and not anything through AdFly: the infamous malicious ad-hosting site.
I think everyone can recommend them, I've heard they are the safest.
Thank you again !!! x
You’re welcome
